A Presentation in Commemoration of Deir Yassin
by
ORA WISE The daughter of a
rabbi and a Hebrew schoolteacher, Ora was born in
Jerusalem and has lived there on several
occasions. During her latest period there, she
worked with the Jahalin Bedouin in the West Bank
through the organization Rabbis for Human Rights.
Once back in the US, Ora attended Ohio State
University and while studying Women?s Studies and
Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, she
co-founded the OSU Committee for Justice in
Palestine. Shortly after, Ora was one of the
organizers of the second National Student
Conference for the Palestine Solidarity Movement.
Ora currently lives in New York City where she is
a member of Jews Against the Occupation and works
in coalition with SUSTAIN (Stop US Tax-funded Aid
to Israel Now) and Al-Awda Right of Return. Ora
teaches Jewish Studies at a synagogue in Brooklyn
and travels with the Palestine Truth Tour.
