Tomorrow marks an important day for Iranians fighting for democracy. Demonstrations are scheduled to be held all over the world tonight and tomorrow in support of democracy in Iran. You can support democracy in Iran. See below.

On July 9, 1999, Iranian students protested against their dictatorial, Islamist government. The students were demanding democratic reforms. Their government responded with violence. Since 1999, July 9 has marked an important anniversary for freedom-loving Iranian citizens. The Iranian government is now acting to try to suppress any demonstrations. Students have vowed to defy the government ban on public protests, and return to the streets tomorrow. Iranians need our support.

If you can, please join world-wide demonstrations planned for tomorrow in support of democracy in Iran. Protests are scheduled in cities like Brussels, Rome, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas (click here for more information). Images of the protests will be beamed via satellite TV into Iran, so people there will know they have friends in the free world.

Please also lobby your elected representatives to support democracy in Iran.
