Italy is on al-Qaeda’s hit list – mainly because it is a "decadent," western democracy. Italian women are beautiful; the country prolifically produces arts and entertainment – oh, that terrible music and dancing. And Italy is a very successful economic power. In other words, the savage, Stone Age Islamists have lots of reasons to resent Italian success and freedom. Of course, some would argue that Islamists hate Italy because of its involvement in Iraq. But this is just an excuse to plan terror attacks against Italians to satiate radical Muslim envy.

Maybe because of the Islamist acrimony – and the fact that Italian authorities are holding a London bombing suspect – Italy is starting to clamp down on the terrorist threat. Besides toughening its anti-terror laws, the country has started expelling Islamists:

Eight purported Islamic fundamentalist preachers arrested for being in Italy illegally are being summarily expelled. …

They are among hundreds of foreigners discovered to be in Italy illegally who are now being expelled each month. …

The immigration office in Rome said more than 1,300 illegal immigrants had been formally expelled in the past two months alone.

Allowing immigrants to flood into European countries may help to assuage “white guilt,” but it completely compromises the safety of Europe’s legal residents – the “indigenous” ones, if you like.

And just what has Europe’s open door policy accomplished? Let’s see, 200 Spanish were blown to bits in 2003; Theo Van Gogh was savagely murdered in Amsterdam in 2004; 55 Brits were annihilated while going to work last month; Jewish schools and synagogues have been torched in France… Should the Euros wait, heads stuck in the sand, for the next terrorist atrocity?
