This is Palestinian Peace?

Four Israeli kids were killed and 30 wounded today by a Palestinian homicide bomber. The young Israelis’ crime? They were waiting in line to get into a nightclub in Tel Aviv. This is the Palestinians’ idea of “peace?” According to the BBC, Alon Kotler, a paramedic who treated several of the wounded told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that rescuers had found "young people lying on top of each other, most of them moderately to seriously wounded". What happened to the “truce” the Palestinian Authority (PA) agreed to with Israel at the summit in Egypt on February 8? What has the PA been doing about reigning in Palestinian terrorist groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade? Nothing. On January 21, PA President Mahmoud Abbas ordered about 3,000 Palestinian police into northern Gaza “to prevent militants firing rockets at Israeli targets.” On February 10, Hamas spent “several hours” lobbing rockets and mortars into an Israeli settlement from northern Gaza. What were the 3,000 Palestinian police doing? Not even one of the Palestinian police noticed? A PA official, Saeb Erekat, said he “condemned” today’s murder of Israeli youngsters. Big deal. Yasser Arafat used to condemn terrorist attacks, all while he was inciting and supporting terrorism. Talk, talk, talk; just like the Oslo Accords and Arafat shaking the hand of Yitzhak Rabin in 1993. Give me just the facts. The facts say Palestinians are not serious about peace. Since Palestinians won’t clean up their garbage (terrorists), it is time for Israel to once again let loose its dogs of war. |
