Islamic republic’s security forces attacked and wounded, this morning, tens of protesters in the northern City of Babolsar located by the Caspian sea. The protesters were hundreds of workers of the “Alborz Carpeting Company” and their family members who were demonstrating against their poor conditions and the non-payment of their wages for the last eight months.

Clubs, chains and tear gas were used against them as they tried to reach the Governor’s Office.

Several public buildings and materials were damaged in retaliation and the angry demonstrators shouted slogans against the regime and its leadership.

Several of them were arrested by the official security forces and the repressive Bassij militia.

The situation is very tense in this usually peaceful seasonal touristic city where the carpeting company was a day one of its most important industrial entities.
