Alastair Gordon, President, Canadian Coalition for Democracies (CCD) will make a presentation to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs in Toronto.

In April 2005, the Canadian government released its International Policy Statement (IPS) entitled A Role of Pride and Influence in the World. CCD will present its evaluation of the IPC, and recommendations for adding “democracy” as a cornerstone of Canadian foreign policy. CCD will also use the opportunity to discuss how Canada’s current foreign policy gives aid and comfort to those who finance, advocate and promote terrorism.
