I have heard Congressman Tom Tancredo (R, CO.), assure talk radio hosts and others that he and his fellow 90 plus Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus (CIRC) members would do everything they could to make sure that any amnesty legislation is never passed by the House.
Congressman J.D. Hayworth (R, AZ.), stated on April 11, 2006 that if any amnesty legislation ever reached the floor of the House for a vote, that he “suspects there are enough “open borders” Republicans who would join the Democrats in approving a final guest worker Amnesty bill”.
I have learned that House Speaker Dennis Hastert is backing amnesty legislation and is planning or has already packed any House Conference Committee with pro-amnesty congressman to hasten any border “security”/immigration “reform” bill out of the committee and to the House floor, where he will use every trick in the book to ram the amnesty bill to House approval.
Those who are pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens are adding “window dressing” like border security, making English the official language, etc., to get us to support the amnesty bill. They have no intention of ever making English the official language or securing our borders and will abandon any new border security measures taken once the amnesty bill is signed into law.
We need to hold their (CIRC’s) feet to the fire and make sure THEY DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN DO to stop illegal alien amnesty from ever coming up for a vote in the House. The CIRC has significant internal House political leverage at its disposal, if they are willing to use it.
Below is a suggestion on how you, me and everyone else who opposes amnesty for illegal aliens can get the CIRC to force Speaker Hastert out as speaker immediately and replace him with someone else who opposes amnesty or amnesty under any name and will either pack the Conference Committee with anti-amnesty congressman to make sure amnesty legislation never leaves the committee or, as speaker, use their broad parliamentary powers to keep any amnesty bill or bill containing amnesty from ever reaching the floor of the House for a vote.
Below is the idea:
BEGINNING OF IDEA
For how the CIRC can go about removing Hastert as House Speaker, click on the link below:

If you like the idea, I ask that you share the idea, by any means possible, with as many people as possible and encourage people to contact the members of the CIRC. Click on the link below to see a sample of what I wrote to members of the CIRC, if you need an example of what to write to them:

END OF IDEA
If the CIRC refuses to DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN to stop amnesty legislation from becoming law, as Congressman Tancredo promised and CIRC members just whine or something similar as amnesty legislation passes the House, then we should all have the same level of contempt for them as we should for Bush and the rest of the open borders/pro-amnesty crowd.
It is also pretty pathetic or contemptible that it looks like there aren’t even 41 U.S. Senators ready to filibuster any final amnesty bill. It looks like those of us who don’t want amnesty (about 70 - 80% of the American people) will have to hang our hopes that the House can defeat the Senate amnesty bill, either in conference or by keeping any amnesty bill or bill containing amnesty from ever reaching the floor of the House for a vote.
