Fundamentalist Muslims versus Euro-Americans

Multiculturalists tell us that all cultures are equal and that it is Eurocentric or even racist to call Western (Euro-American) culture superior to fundamentalist Islamic culture. The truth is that Euro-American culture stands as high over militant Islamic culture as a human stands above the common cockroach.

Euro-Americans turn deserts into gardens. Fundamentalist Muslims turn gardens into deserts (as shown by the Palestinians’ destruction of greenhouses in Gaza).

Euro-Americans build skyscrapers and passenger aircraft. Fundamentalist Muslims can at best hijack the aircraft and crash them into the skyscrapers.

Euro-American surgeons reattach severed limbs through painstaking microsurgery. Fundamentalist Muslims can at best cut off limbs and heads. Judeo-Christian surgeons admittedly have yet to figure out how to reattach a human head.

Euro-American scientists have developed amazing dressings that stop a wound’s bleeding almost immediately. Fundamentalist Muslims put rat poison on nails and bolts in their suicide bombs so the victims’ wounds won’t stop bleeding.

Fundamentalist Muslims force their women to cover their faces. Euro-American women must cover their faces when working in operating rooms, semiconductor cleanrooms, and outer space.

Aside from Arabic numerals, a rudimentary vaccine for smallpox, and composite bows, the Islamic world has contributed nothing significant to the world’s arts, physical sciences, medical sciences, natural sciences, or military sciences. Euro-American civilization has been almost exclusively responsible for the scientific growth that began during the 17th century (when science really began to distinguish itself from superstition) as well as political thought that has created our modern views on human rights and civil rights.

The facts speak for themselves. Militant “Islam” is a pathetic and dysfunctional system that dooms its adherents and those under their jurisdiction to lives of violence, poverty, and degradation. Militant “Islam” is a plague and a disease that, like smallpox and other plagues, must be eradicated for the good of the human race.

Bill: I agree that Islam is in crisis, but I would emphasize that there was a time when the Arab/Muslim world flourished, contributing great things to world culture in terms of astronomy, mathematics, geography, philosophy, music, and medicine.

Arab civilization reached great heights under the Abbasid caliphs of Baghdad. Caliph Harun al-Rashid (786–809 AD) was a great patron of the liberal arts, and maintained political relations with far-flung China and with Charlemagne, king of the Franks. Under Caliph al-Ma’mun (813–833 AD), great cultural strides were made. He was very interested in science, and created an institution that translated Greek works into Arabic.

For example, Abu Ali al-Hussain Ibn Abdallah Ibn Sina (Avicinna [980-1037]), wrote The Canons of Medicine, which was the basic guide for Western medicine from 1100 through 1600.

During the Middle Ages, you were a LOT better off with a Muslim doctor than with a Christian one. The Muslims may in fact have been a little more advanced, noting that medieval Christian institutions were no better than modern militant “Islamic” ones– full of religious dogma and superstition, and opposition to any sciences that might threaten the Church’s version of the truth.

The balance seems to have shifted during the 16th century, as science began to push back superstition and dogma in Europe. While the Inquisition and so on tried to persecute scientists and other dissidents even in the 17th century, it began to lose its influence while scientific institutions gained in power.
