There has been considerable talk of Hezbollah’s plans to use chemical weapons on Israel, and now it is said that Hezbollah is planning to use radiological weapons: radioactive materials to be dispersed by conventional explosives. We don’t know what Israel’s policy is toward such weapons but Hezbollah and its Iranian sponsors should be reminded of the United States’ policy: chemical = biological = nuclear. An attack with a chemical or biological weapon is the equivalent of a nuclear attack and invites retaliation in kind. Since the United States has no chemical or biological weapons with which to respond, the nature of the retaliation would be obvious.

“The nose cones will contain spent nuclear rods from Iran’s nuclear programme. The rods are wrapped with conventional explosives. The dirty bombs are primarily intended to create increased panic across an already nervous population in northern Israel,” claimed a senior intelligence officer in London.

Now, we are not in charge of Israel but, if we were, we would remind Hezbollah and Iran that chemical = biological = nuclear. Furthermore, if Iran did supply these weapons then Iran is equally guilty and should suffer the consequences if they are used. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should be told that, if Hezbollah actually does fire spent Iranian reactor rods at Israel, Tehran, every other major Iranian city, and their inhabitants will end up looking like this or like this (warning, very graphic photos; don’t look if you just ate or about to eat). Mahmoud Ahmadinejad must also ask himself whether he personally wants to end up looking like this (not the person standing on the stairs but the shadow left by the unfortunate individual who was sitting on them) or the unfortunate person who was next to the ladder in this photo.

This is exactly what Ahmadinejad is inviting for millions of his citizens as well as for himself by building nuclear weapons, stating his intention to use them on other countries, and now apparently supplying radiological weapons to terrorists to use as they please. The Iranian Army should remember that the soldiers’ own wives, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and children will be affected in this manner before it obeys irrational orders from Ahmadinejad.

We would go even further; if there is credible evidence that Hezbollah has radiological weapons and is preparing to use them, Israel would be 100 percent justified in firing nuclear weapons at these weapons’ suspected storage areas in Lebanon and elsewhere, just as the United States would be justified in launching a Trident or Peacekeeper missile the instant Kim Jong Mentally Ill starts fueling his Taepo-Dongs for an attack on our West Coast. There is nothing wrong with North Korea’s nukes that a 335-kiloton warhead with a circular probable error of 100 meters — or is it ten meters? — won’t fix.
