There is no doubt as to what would happen to Jesus were he to preach his ideas in places like Saudi Arabia and Iran today. Yesterday, a jihadist called for the crucifixion of Pope Benedict. Since Catholics believe that the Pope is Jesus’ representative on Earth, killing the Pope would doubtlessly be the next best thing to killing the founder of the Christian religion itself.

These are the enemies of Civilization itself. There is no doubt as to what they would do to Jesus if he were alive today and, as he is not, the Pope is the next best thing:

Ahmed also said the pope had joined US President George W. Bush’s “crusade” against Muslims, referring to Christians who fought against Muslims from the 11th through the 13th centuries.

We could have another in the 21st, with Jews, Hindus, and even moderate Muslims (who are often murdered by the militants) joining in. To paraphrase Ann Coulter: invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to ABI (Anything But Islamofascism).
