Voter Turnout High

Voter turnout seems to be high on this election day. When I voted at about 9 AM this morning, the election volunteers told me that about 80 people had already cast ballots, while they noted that only 5 people had done so by 9 AM in the last election. Indeed, this seems to be a nationwide phenomena — a good thing no matter what the outcome. From the Washington Post:
Lines developed quickly at polls in Tennessee, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia and other states with competitive races, as Democrats pushed for gains across the board and Republicans hoped a last-minute campaign and turnout push will leave them in control of both chambers. Turnout was robust in Washington’s Maryland and Virginia suburbs. …
