Jaafar Sheikh Idris says Muslims cannot serve in Congress, the Armed Forces, or any other position that requires loyalty to the Constitution.

WorldNetDaily has reported that Jaafar Sheikh Idris, the founder of American Open University, says that Muslims are not eligible to serve in any position of public trust that requires an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

A black convert to orthodox Sunni Islam, [Keith] Ellison spoke to the North American Imams Federation, or NAIF, at the group’s Nov. 19 conference in Minneapolis. …Later that day, Ellison met with NAIF’s president, Omar Ahmad Shahin, who lectures at the same American Open University.

…American Open University supports Sharia, or Islamic law. And its founder and chairman, Jaafar Sheikh Idris, has denounced the U.S system of democracy as “the antithesis of Islam” and argued no man has the right to make laws outside Allah’s laws expressed in the Quran.

…”No one can be a Muslim who makes or freely accepts or believes that anyone has the right to make or accept legislation that is contrary to that divine law,” Idris adds. “Examples of such violations include the legalization of alcoholic drinks, gambling, homosexuality, usury or interest, and even adoption.”

Conversely, laws prohibiting polygamy and domestic violence also violate the Quran.

Further, he maintains that no Muslim elected to Congress or the White House can swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution and still be a Muslim.

Noting that an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution is a prerequisite for service in Congress, the Armed Forces of the United States, and many other offices of public trust, Jaafar Sheikh Idris is saying that no Muslim is qualified for such offices. It is vital for Muslim-Americans to denounce, shun, and ostracize this individual and his organization by saying that he does not speak for them.

At least this Hitler in a headscarf brought it out into the open: “democracy is the antithesis of Islam” and “laws against domestic violence violate the Koran.” The latter should be made clear to every single woman in our country, especially campus liberals who sympathize with and even join these barbaric savages.

Although Keith Ellis (our country’s first “Muslim” Congressman) cannot control the North American Imams Federation’s or the American Open University’s anti-American statements, his decision to meet with these organizations shows that his own loyalty to our country, its basic foundation of human rights, and its values is open to question. The problem, in fact, goes further than these two organizations and involves CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations). It is alleged that CAIR’s chairman, Omar Ahmed, said that the Koran should be the United States’ highest authority.

The reporter who covered the event, Lisa Gardiner, told WND she remembers the strong statement by Ahmad, who was one of several speakers at a session titled, “How Should We As Muslims Live in America?” at an Islamic conference in Fremont.

…A copy of Gardiner’s original article, provided by Waterhouse, said in part:

“…Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant, he [Omar M. Ahmad] said. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth, he said.”

If this individual really said that, he is free to renounce his American citizenship, take his Koran, get out of our country, and move to some Third World dirt hole like Saudi Arabia or “Palestine” where it is legally and socially acceptable to batter women and kill unbelievers. His kind is not wanted here, nor in any civilized nation on earth. And perhaps it is time for Americans to make his kind feel unwelcome through legal and nonviolent methods like ostracism, shunning, and verbal and written condemnation.

In closing, it is necessary to point out that the aforementioned individuals are no more representative of Muslim-Americans than circus sideshow freaks are representative of normal human genetics. The difference between sideshow freaks and Keith Ellis, Omar M. Ahmad, and Jaafar Sheikh Idris is that the sideshow performers did not ask to be born with physical deformities, and would be rid of them were it humanly possible. We would find no entertainment whatsoever in looking at someone’s birth defect (such as being a midget), and we would not think highly of anyone who found something like that amusing.

On the other hand, we could easily laugh our heads off at the voluntary behavior of sideshow performers like the geek (who bites the head off a chicken), or perhaps reality show participants who eat maggots or worms in front of a camera. Keith Ellis, Omar M. Ahmad, and Jaafar Sheikh Idris were born as human beings but chose to become freaks, and therefore legitimate objects of scorn, ridicule, derision, and ostracism.
