A Dubai man killed his sister merely for suspecting that she was cheating on her husband. Iran has created a vacation resort just for women. Visitors to the resort will have to pass a sign which reads, “No men allowed!” The Islamist track-record for the ill treatment of women is well-documented, and only getting worse. This anti-feminine bent is not some multi-cultural idiosyncrasy to be tolerated by the West. Rather it is a malignant cancer — a symptom of a backward, Stone Age culture which seeks to force its “sensibilities” on the rest of the world. Islamist beliefs toward women belie a deeply repressed mentality, unable to trust its own desires, and fearful that women could attain societal power. When I say “repressed,” I don’t only mean it in the political sense, but in the Freudian also. Read on for the gory details.

A man has been charged with the premeditated murder of his sister who was shot dead in the country’s second “honour crime” this year. The suspect, a taxi driver, told police he killed his 22-year-old married sister after receiving an anonymous call suggesting she was having “extramarital affairs”. The caller told the man his sister’s picture was “circulating on men’s mobile phones”. It was also revealed the authorities had arrested the woman last year and kept her briefly in administrative detention - a protection measure to ensure she was not harmed by her family - after she ran away from home.

That’s the sign Iran hopes to post on a new island paradise it hopes to create for female tourists only, according to a report in a Tehran newspaper.

“The island of Arezou, one of the 102 islands in the Oroumiyeh Lake, will be equipped especially for women,” a municipal official in the West Azerbaijan province, identified only as Aghai, was quoted as saying by the Tehran Emrouz newspaper.

All public transportation, restaurants and facilities on the island will be staffed only by women, officials said. Oroumiyeh Lake is located near the nation’s border with Turkey.

“There will be no men on the island,” the official said. “It will also boost tourism in the area.”

“The construction of hotels, small restaurants and medical centres under the management of women is one of the specifications for this island, which is the first such in the country,” Aghai said.

Note: I had originally picked an example of what I thought was an incident of Muslim violence against women — “A Muslim man beat and stabbed 3 female relations to death — because they ‘disrespected’ him:”

An Iranian immigrant accused of using a 3-pound hammer to beat his wife, sister-in-law and mother-in-law to death and then repeatedly stabbing them told police that the women had “disrespected” him, authorities said Monday.

It turns out that this immigrant may not have been Muslim. If so, I stand corrected. But I didn’t have to look very hard to find myriad instances of Muslim violence against women.
