CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper: If his lips move, he’s lying

On March 12, the Washington Times reported that a house Democrat had reserved a Capitol building room to use for a meeting. While this isn’t unusual, the reservation was made for a panel discussion titled “Global Attitudes on Islam-West Relations: U.S. Policy Implications.”

An impressive name for an important meeting held in the nation’s capitol. What could be more fitting in the time when the nation has entered another year in the long war against Islamist terror?

Who will be invited to this very important panel discussion? The President? The Secretary of State? Perhaps other key players on the executive and legislative branch staffs?

No, the room reserved by Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-New Jersey will be used by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Washington D.C. based Islamist hate group that actively supports Islamist terrorists, Islamist terrorist groups, and the objectives of destroying our constitutional form of government and replacing it with a detestable Islamist dictatorship under the human-rights-destroying Sharia form of law:

House Republicans have called for the Democrats to retract the offer due to CAIR’s ties to Islamist terrorism. The House Republican Conference referred to CAIR as “terrorist apologists”:

As usual, CAIR had something to say about the Republicans voicing concerns over allowing a known terrorist supporting group being given access to facilities owned by the American people; people who were directly targeted by Islamist terrorists on our own soil on 9-11; Islamist terrorists that CAIR has consistently failed to condemn; Islamist terrorists that CAIR supports to the present day; Islamist terrorists that continue to kill our troops and plot to kill civilians.

CAIR’s national communications director, Ibrahim Hooper:

“It’s really disappointing that, whenever there’s an attack from elective officials, we don’t even ask any more which party it is. It should be a concern to ordinary Republicans that the party is being viewed as a reservoir of anti-Muslim hate.”

Once again, Hooper is lying. Congressional representatives of both parties have been largely silent to the threat of domestic Islamist terrorism. While Democrats appear to be more engaged on the domestic threat, Republicans have largely focused on the foreign aspect. His attempt to play the parties against each other serves only one purpose: advancing the cause of Islamist terrorism. Hooper knows he can do this by playing the egos of congress members against each other. Hooper’s deceit is further revealed in this blatant attempt to drive a partisan wedge between Republicans and Democrats on the questions of domestic/foreign Islamist terrorism.

Some representative quotations from prominent Democrats:

Senator Richard Durbin: “(CAIR is) unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.”

Senator Charles Schumer: “We know (CAIR) has ties to terrorism” and “intimate links with Hamas.”

Representative Bill Shuster is one Republican who understands the domestic threat posed by CAIR; in unusually blunt language, he had this to say about CAIR in a 12 March press release:

“CAIR has failed to prove that is not in league with radical Islam. Time and again the organization has shown itself to be nothing more than an apologist for groups bent on the destruction of Israel and Islamic domination over the West.”

The facts are clear: congressional representatives are finally, almost six years after the tragic events of 9-11, finally awakening to the threat of radical Islam in the United States. It is only thanks to groups such as CAIR that the congress has been blind to the tactics of “divide and conquer” that has been employed by CAIR that this realization took so long to come to fruition. Hooper’s negative comments about Republicans are a shot at every Republican congress person, purposely designed to shut down any negative commentary directed at CAIR.

Once again, Hooper proves himself incapable of telling the truth. He also seems to have conveniently forgotten that it was Senator Barbara Boxer, D-CA, who recalled an award her office had issued to CAIR’s California Chapter executive director due to concerns that CAIR “gives aid to international terrorist groups”:

The simple truth is that there is a consensus developing among the American people that our elected representatives in Washington are beginning to realize that their primary focus while the country is at war should be focused on the activities of domestic terrorism supporting groups as well as the foreign threat. No wonder Hooper is lying; the congress, a lethargic beast, is beginning to awaken; as our enemies have learned in past wars, an aroused American citizenry is a force to be reckoned with. Just how long the American people will tolerate the activities of CAIR, and other Islamist groups, remains to be seen. The congress is on notice; the current policies regarding domestic Islamist groups are not working.

Hooper is also upset because the American people don’t want Islamist terrorism supporters desecrating the people’s house for a propaganda meeting.

Let’s be perfectly clear on this point:

“No CAIR representative is morally fit to enter the people’s house.”

Would the American people stand for allowing the Ku Klux Klan to use congressional space for a meeting? How about the American NAZI Party?

Why the double standard? Hate is hate; why the pass to an Islamist hate group?
