While I don’t like to make a habit of posting political candidate’s sound-bytes, I do believe that Mitt Romney deserves some credit for taking a strong, pro-Israel stance:

Dear Friend,

Do you believe deeply in Israel’s right to live in peaceful coexistence with its neighbors? 

Do you believe that those who support terrorism against America and against the state of Israel should be held accountable?

Do you agree that we must become energy independent and stop sending $1 billion a day to nations like Iran and Syria who use that money against us?

Do you agree that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust and Israel’s right to exist are intolerable?

Do you agree that the failures of the United Nations have made people understandably cynical when it comes to multinational and multilateral organizations?

I do too, and I’m eager to start doing something about it. I’m convinced that when political leaders are honest about the challenges we face as a nation we can overcome great obstacles. I would like to continue this conversation. Join me here.
