Muzzlewatch, the site that “tracks efforts to stifle open debate about US-Israeli foreign policy” while not accepting any comments or debate, belongs to A Jewish Voice for Peace. Since a Jewish Voice for Peace supports negotiations and dialogue with murderous terrorists from Hamas, it comes as no surprise that it has gotten behind Rep. Keith Ellison. Ellison, who has connections with militant Islamic organizations, recently equated 9/11 to the Reichstag fire (and by implication George Bush to Adolf Hitler) while giving credibility to conspiracy theories that the U.S. perpetrated 9/11 itself.

Despicable: Abe Foxman slams only Muslim Congressman by Cecilie Surasky and Mitchell Plitnick quotes The Forward as follows,

Aides to Rep. Keith Ellison, say the ADL criticized Ellison after the Minnesota Democrat had told the ADL that he planned to recant his comparison of Bush administration policies to Nazi tactics.

The offending line came in a July 8 speech to an atheists’ group in Minnesota. Ellison compared Bush administration policies after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to Adolf Hitler’s use of the burning of the Reichstag to consolidate his rule.

Surasky and Plitnick elaborate,

But now it appears that Abe Foxman and the ADL have trademarked the use of any language pertaining to Hitler and the Holocaust. There is no denying the singular nature of the Holocaust’s impact on the Jewish people. But apparently, despite the fact that over 5 million non-Jews were also killed, the tragedy belongs not only to us Jews and us alone, but the the Anti-Defamation League.

It must be a funny coincidence- the ADL is going after the only Muslim on Congress. And what did he say, exactly? He didn’t even mention or allude to the Holocaust. As horrible as the Jewish experience was in the Shoah, there was a good deal more to Hitler’s evil crusade. Is everything pertaining to Hitler now out of bounds unless it receives Abe Foxman’s stamp of approval?

The problems have nothing to do with the Holocaust. The problems are as follows:

(1) Keith Ellison equated 9/11 to the Reichstag fire, which the Nazis may have set themselves. This suggests that President Bush orchestrated the 9/11 attacks himself, a position shared by lunatic fringe freaks, talk show host Jeff Rense and his guests, MoveOn.org’s Action Forum, and a substantial number of hate organizations that claim that Zionists and/or Jews also were involved.

(2) Keith Ellison reinforced the above perception by adding, ” The fact is that I’m not saying [Sept. 11] was a U.S. plan, or anything like that because, you know, that’s how they put you in the nut-box-dismiss you.”” This is simply a McCarthyite tactic for giving credibility to the conspiracy theories. Joe McCarthy sometimes said, “I don’t think So-and-so is a Communist,” thus implying that there is credible evidence that So-and-so was indeed a Communist. We could do exactly the same thing by saying, “We don’t believe that Keith Ellison’s primary loyalty is to Islam instead of the United States, or that his association with militant Islamic organizations means that he shares their beliefs.”

Ellison is also on record as using his vote to undermine air transportation security, and to make it easier for his fellow “Muslims” to perpetrate another 9/11. H.R. 1401, the Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007, says, “Any person who makes a voluntary disclosure regarding suspicious activity that constitutes a possible threat to transportation security to appropriate security and law enforcement authorities shall be immune from civil liability for such disclosure.” In other words, if you see a passenger of Middle Eastern origin carrying a a book entitled “72 Virgins: Martyrdom, Allah, and You” in one hand and what looks like a block of clay with wires sticking out of it in the other, and you point this out to a police officer, you can’t be sued by said passenger. The same if you complain to the flight attendant or pilot about six imams who are chanting to Allah, asking for seat belt extenders with metal buckles, and seating themselves in the airplane the way the 9/11 hijackers did.

Keith Ellison voted against this legislation, as did the other House Members for Another 9/11. Prominent nay votes included:

Corrine Brown
John Conyers (aka John Conman, who also wants reparations for slavery)
Keith Ellison
Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson Jr.
Krazy Kucinich
Barbara Lee
Nita Lowey, who also was associated with the Million Mom March
Carolyn McCarthy, also involved with the Million Mom March which may have used tax-exempt money to support her Congressional campaign. She doesn’t want us to have firearms for self-defense, and she apparently doesn’t want people to defend themselves against or report to law enforcement potential airplane hijackers either.
Jerrold Nadler, another Million Mom March supporter
Charles Rangel (Wants to wreck our Armed Forces’ morale by reinstituting the draft)
Jan Schakowsky, also involved with the Million Mom March

We are not saying, however, that Keith Ellison backed an amendment to require that box cutters be handed to passengers who claimed to need them for religious reasons, or that such passengers be allowed access to the cockpit during flight because, you know, that’s how they put you in the nut-box-dismiss you.
