John Mearsheimer (”Israel Lobby”) at Yearly Kos 2007

Talk show host Bill O’Reilly was recently criticized for accusing the Daily Kos of welcoming anti-Semitic and other hate speech on its site. Hillary Clinton stepped in to defend Kos, and MoveOn.org is trying to get Fox News’ advertisers to pull their advertising. It seems that the Kos convention, which Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama attended, had an interesting guest: John Mearsheimer, one of the authors of “The Israel Lobby.” In this YouTube video:

filmed at the Daily Kos, Mearsheimer claims that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn’t really say that he plans to wipe Israel off the map, and that a nuclear-armed Iran is not a threat to the U.S. or Israel.
We learned about this Mearsheimer video through an unrelated Google search that led us to the web site of David Duke, the Ku Klux Klansman. Duke apparently thinks very highly of this video and Mr. Mearsheimer, and it seems that Kos shares this position.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama attended the Kos convention? I guess that proves how important the “core,” far-left vote is to the “mainstream” Democratic party. Oy, vey…
