Barack Obama only today felt the need to condemn “a sermon on the Sunday after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001″ in which his church’s pastor “suggested the United States brought on the [911] attacks?” Only today? Sounds like a lie to me. Oh, but wait, Obama “said [Pastor] Wright’s controversial statements first came to his attention at the beginning of his presidential campaign last year, and he condemned them.” Uh, huh. Obama’s church also adores Louis Farrakhan, a racist, homophobe, and anti-Semite, who has called Judaism a “gutter religion.” [1] Obama has been a member of this “church” for 20 years, and calls his America-hating pastor an “uncle.” This Trinity United Church of Christ, led by old uncle Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., declares itself to be “Unashamedly Black” with a philosophy based on “‘Black Power and Black Theology.” Is this identity- and race-based philosophy “liberal?” Is Obama a suitable presidential candidate for a country as diverse as the United States? Here’s what Obama’s “uncle” thinks of our nation:
… “We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Wright said. “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”
In a 2003 sermon, he said blacks should condemn the United States.
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”
He also gave a sermon in December comparing Obama to Jesus, promoting his candidacy and criticizing his rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“Barack knows what it means to be a black man to be living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people,” Wright told a cheering congregation. “Hillary can never know that. Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger.” …

Mr. Jaffee,
If it would not be too much of a problem, would you mind providing a transcript of Louis Farrakhan’s “gutter Religion” statement? I have yet to hear a tape of Farrakhan making that statement, though I have read it in many publications.
It would be very unfortunate to make such a claim, should the evidence not be present to support it.

Hmmm… You seemed able to ignore all the evidence I provided you about CAIR. Now you’re doing the same about Farrakhan. Do you have “tapes” proving that CAIR is not linked to terrorism or that Farrakhan is not a bigot? Sophistry cloaked in politeness and pseudo-intellectualism.

Are you threatening legal action? If so, I’ll get our law firm involved.

My dearest Publisher,
Sophistry? I must admit that this is my first charge of intentional laboriousness. Do trust though, that any malicious appearance is not due to intention; rather, the contrary strongly applies.
Be assured that the threat of legal action is far beneath individuals of our character. It is completely irrational to believe that anyone of any moral substance would wield the sword of legal justice frivolously. However, I am sure that the academic sector of your psyche would agree that a deliberate misquote and circulation of misinformation is not in any way, shape, or form, scholarly prudent. In fact, such reckless action reeks of inanity.
Perhaps it was erudition out of season, to ask that a serious claim be justified by solid proof. Maybe one should walk his or her commentary on proverbial eggshells, for fear of negative judgment by way of the Publisher, or editorial critique. However, I strain to believe that such is the case in relating to the information you present. You seem to be open, honest, and sincere, in delivering to the reading audience both clarity and truth. Unwarranted defensiveness and fetal derision are traits hardly consistent with sagacity. They are signature qualities of totalitarian fascist leaders like Adolf Hitler, Pervez Musharraf and Francisco Franco.
Honorable Publisher, we must be especially careful not to place ourselves in that kind of disreputable and unprincipled company.

You should try translating your comments through the Yorkshire Chicken Run Translator before posting. Here’s a sample:

With all honesty, I did my best to read the Yorkshire Chicken Run translation of my response without erupting into laughter.
It didn’t work.
That translation was by far one of the most droll things I have had the pleasure of reading. To think, as to how my articulacy is perceived by others, has never been so entertaining. Such stinging wit is responsible for my continued reading of the material presented on this august site.
Bravo, my dear Publisher. Encore!
