An alliance — if one can call it that — of Arabs, Muslims, leftists, and fascists — has spent years trying to delegitimize Israel’s existence and deny the rights of Jews to live in their ancestral homeland. Yet any cursory look at these delegitimizers’ “proof” shows them to be ignorant, racist people — especially uninformed about archaeology. Yet more evidence has been found showing an ancient Jewish presence in the Holy Land:
Israeli archaeologists have uncovered an ancient quarry where they believe King Herod extracted stones for the construction of the Jewish Temple 2,000 years ago, the Israel Antiquities Authority said Monday. The archaeologists believe the 1,000-square-foot (100-square-meter) quarry was part of a much larger network of quarries used by Herod in the city. …
… The archaeologists said the size of the stones indicates they could have been used in the construction of the Temple compound, including the Western Wall, a retaining wall that remains intact and is a Jewish shrine. …
The bigots — the delegitimizers — ignore the Biblical and historical convergence of, for example, the books of Nehemiah and Jeremiah. These haters ignore the mountains of evidence proving that Jews lived in the Holy Land long before Arab conquerors arrived in the 7th century A.D. … Evidence like the first Jewish temple (ca. 950 B.C.) and the second Jewish temple (ca. 535 B.C.), or the Biblical passages in John 1:49, Book of 1 Samuel, 13:19, Exodus 2:23, or 1 Chronicles 29:23. Indeed, Archaeologists have found Hebrew text in Israel dating to 3,000 years ago.
I tire of having to prove the obvious over and over, but will not desist in my efforts to combat the pure, unadulterated hatred of the anti-Semitic movement.
