CAIR continues its attack on the FBI

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is protesting the “unconstitutional subterfuge” and “unjust trick” used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to gain entrance to the home of a terrorism suspect.

Sabrina Boyd claims she was “tricked” out of her house by a ruse that her husband and three sons had been involved in a serious car accident and that the North Carolina State Police would provide a lift to the local hospital. Boyd stated that when she arrived at the hospital 30 agents surrounded her and handcuffs were slapped on her wrists.

CAIR’s Nihad Awad commented: “The cruel trick reportedly used by the FBI in the detention and questioning of the family members shocks the conscience of anyone who values constitutional rights and due process of law.”

What would CAIR have preferred; Boyd be excluded from her house by subterfuge or by force? Would CAIR rather have Mrs. Boyd confronted by an armed team of agents assaulting the house with all the attendant dangers inherent in such an operation? Of course, such an assault would have garnered instant condemnation by CAIR and other alphabet-soup Islamist “Muslim Civil Rights” groups in America.

Simply “asking” the devout wife — who describes non-Muslim Americans as “kafirs” — of a man who received military training in terrorist training camps to “step outside” of a home where authorities believe he had stockpiled automatic weapons and trained jihad recruits would be extremely dangerous to all involved.

Her husband, Daniel Boyd, was convicted in Pakistan of bank robbery in 1991, opening fire with pistols as he and his accomplice (his brother) fled from the bank. They were arrested carrying identification cards of the radical Afghan guerrilla group, Hezb-e-Islami.

Mrs. Boyd claims the possession of various weapons in their home was nothing more than the family exercising “their constitutional right to bear arms.”

The FBI, however, says that Daniel Boyd’s collection of weapons “included a Bushmaster M4A3 rifle that Boyd allegedly received illegally via interstate commerce in 2006″ and “knowingly sold a Beretta 9 mm handgun and ammunition to a convicted felon.” Boyd and his son also “used firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence, specifically conspiracy to murder.” The FBI also alleges that Daniel Boyd and several other defendants left the United States for Israel to engage in violent jihad, returning after failing in their objective.

Notice that CAIR simply rose to attack the FBI while not even considering the dangerous allegations surrounding Daniel Boyd and his sons, and made no attempt to provide another solution to the very serious problem of quickly getting Mrs. Boyd out of a terror suspects unsafe and undoubtedly evidence rich dwelling.

CAIR’s neglect to consider any of the information regarding Boyd and his sons is suspiciously ignorant and really nothing more than blatant attack on the FBI.

Once again, CAIR, a front group created for Hamas terrorists, has demonstrated that it is absolutely on the wrong side in our dangerous battle against Islamic terrorism.
