President Obama and his policies are in trouble, no doubt. It is interesting to note how several mainstream media outlets basically admit his ship is sinking, yet try to throw a positive spin on their “news.” The BBCenumerates six high profile resignations from the Obama team, asks, “So is this a case of rats fleeing a sinking ship?,” but spins, “Most presidential watchers say no. ” TIME Magazineasks, “Obama Is in the Jaws of Political Death: Can He Survive?,” but spins, “The politically good news for Obama is that no matter what the outcome of the midterm elections, everything changes in January.” TIME does correctly point out, “Republicans will have a greater obligation, politically and morally, to help govern, rather than thwart and badger” — i.e., “put up or shut up” and “we’d all like to see the plan.” But let’s see what these two mammoths of mass media concede about Obama’s performance.
While many states in recent years have made it harder for illegal aliens to get driver’s licenses, too few states examine these documents when issuing license plates for cars. A survey of state motor vehicle agencies showed these practices:
Only a few states, no more than four, issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, or provide inadequate screening systems.
A much larger group, 19, hand out driver’s license relatively carefully, but do not demand the document when distributing the plates.
The largest group of jurisdictions, 23 of them (including Washington, D.C.) deny driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, and require that everyone seeking to register a car must produce that document.
There are also five states where the rules are not clear; in two of them the issuance of plates is done by county clerks, with the practices varying by county.
When I was younger and perhaps more idealistic, I believed there could be peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Since 2000, I’ve come to see that most Palestinians will never accept Israel, yet Israel keeps making concessions anyway.
Israel tried to negotiate with the Arabs in 1918, 1949, 1967, 1968, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 1993, and 2000. Even though Israel is a tiny sliver of land, she gave up territory in 1957, 1974, 1975, 1982, 1988, 1994, 1995, and 1998. Israel pulled out of much of Gaza in 1994 and had tried to pull out of the West Bank (see here for footnotes). The Jewish State voluntarily withdrew from all of Gaza in 2005. What has Israel gotten in return?
Rocket attacks, naval raids (”flotillas”), homicide bombings, and threats of total annihilation.
In what is probably the most important sign of U.S.-Israel cooperation for this year, the U.S. government has finalized the sale of the advanced F-35 to Israel.
I repeatedly try to explain to people who believe that everything the Obama Administration does is conditioned by some anti-Israel ideology or that everything is bad that this is not so. The task is to maximize the positive, handling difficult problems.
Remember, the Palestinian Authority (PA) is suposedly “moderate.” So here is what PA television shows is citizens on a daily basis, from Palestinian Media Watch — and notice the cash prizes in U.S. dollars (the denomination of the Israel-supporting Great Satan):
During the month of Ramadan, PA TV broadcast a special daily quiz program from refugee camps in Lebanon and in Syria, in which residents were asked to name five cities “in Palestine” or “the countries sharing borders with Palestine” in order to win $100 cash prizes. The PA TV host gave cash prizes to those who defined Israeli cities such as Jaffa, Haifa, Acre, Ramle, and others as Palestinian cities and to those who disregarded the existence of Israel as a neighboring country. Referring to Israel, the host said, “All of Palestine is occupied.” …
This is one of those obscure Middle East events of the utmost significance that is ignored by the Western mass media, especially because they happen in Arabic, not English; by Western governments, because they don’t fit their policies; and by experts, because they don’t mesh with their preconceptions.
This explicit formulation of a revolutionary program makes it a game-changer. It should be read by every Western decision-maker and have a direct effect on policy because this development may affect people’s lives in every Western country.

Michael Jansen, reporter for the Irish Times, either doesn’t know the difference between news and opinion, is completely naive, is uneducated, is brainwashed, or all of the above. He claims that, “…Israel is deliberately sowing discord among the Palestinians by granting access to holy sites to Christians…,” and that,”…Israeli policies [are] ‘designed to cause animosities…,’” between Muslims and Christians. Say what? That doesn’t even make sense. Israel bends over backwards to grant access to Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Druze, Baha’i, Samaritan, etc., holy sites, yet Muslims nations/entities do not reciprocate by any means. As HonestReporting puts it, Jansen’s allegations are “absurd:”
Arab women are being subjugated by the hijab. Obediently wearing the Islamic Veil does not protect Muslim women from being raped and beaten within their own families, harassed on the streets, sold into sexual slavery.
In Palestine, more specifically, in Gaza, the territory that is currently most adored by western artists, “free” thinkers, and flotilla “activists,” any woman who refuses to wear hijab, the headscarf, faces new punishments. …Continue reading…
I just can’t stand it: Left-wingers and/or including self-loathing Jews trying to create reasons to scare people away from the TEA Party because it is largely Christian?!?! What total BS. I am a TEA Party member, you foolish leftists. So what if the statements from a Jerusalem Post article entitled, “‘Tea Party’s Christian ties will alienate Jewish voters’,” posted today are true? Last week, a meeting in my hometown to discuss economic ties with Israel drew representatives from 6 Christian groups and no Jews except the two moderators/organizers. Oy, vey. From the JPost:
A mass rally-demonstration entitled “For the truth, for Israel” will be held in Rome this Thursday. It is being organized by Fiamma Nirenstein — journalist, MP, and vice president of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Italian Chamber of Deputies — and other leading European personalities. Information at www.truthforisrael.eu and www.fiammanirenstein.com. This article was commissioned for it.
Potentially, Israel faces a Second Holocaust.
Indeed, many Europeans continue Hitler’s war against the Jews by supporting fifty seven Islamic apartheid nation states against the single Jewish democratic state.
The worldwide media has become totally “Palestinianized” and Stalinized. Palestinians — even the haters, terrorists, and torturers, are naught but noble, innocent victims. Israel has literally become Orwell’s 1984 “Goldstein,” whom propagandized mobs are taught to scapegoat for their every conceivable sorrow. …Continue reading…
… Spanish prosecutors said two suspected Eta members arrested last week were trained in France and Venezuela in the summer of 2008. …
Venezuela’s socialist leader, in power since 1999, has also faced long-running accusations of supporting leftist guerrillas in neighbouring Colombia. …
Oh, but he’s a “socialist” and a “hero…” NOT! Of course, Hugo says, “It’s all part of the orchestra which keeps sounding against the Bolivarian revolution.” Methinks he doth protest too much — he’s guilty as sin. Period.
Reciprocal death sentences raging between Yemen and the United States offer a glimpse of warfare in the internet age.
The topic opens with South Park, an iconoclastic adult cartoon program on Comedy Central, which in April mocked the prohibition on depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad. An obscure website, RevolutionMuslim.com (whose proprietor was subsequently arrested on terrorism-related charges), responded by threatening the show’s writers, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Panicked, Comedy Central censored further mention of Muhammad.
