“This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy.” This is what two Kansas City black teens told a younger white child. The black kids poured gasoline on the white kid and set him on fire a month ago (see here also). Did you even know this happened? Do you remember the 2007, big “Jena 6″ lie in which six black teens beat up a white kid in Jena, Louisiana, and Al Sharpton hailed it as “the start of the 21st century civil rights movement.” The white teen who was assaulted in 2006 had nothing to do with the hoo-ha. Some 18,000 “protesters” swarmed Jena demanding that the black teens, the so-called “Jena 6,” be released from custody — for beating up an innocent bystander. Now we have the story of the death of Trayvon Martin, edited by NBC to sound like a racist crime, but which is in fact just an incident report. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and Spike Lee are unethically throwing gasoline on a fire — incident — that no one knows who ignited. Again we have political correctness gone mad. Basically, blood libel.
NBC sprayed race-card gasoline when it creatively edited the transcripts of the 911 call regarding the death of Trayvon Martin (see here also):

After suffering legislative reverses in 2008 and 2010 when bills passed that mandated the use of E-Verify, Utah’s large, pro-illegal alien establishment has reasserted its political power.
Although Utah is considered to be the reddest of the red states because it consistently elects Republicans, that does not mean that it is conservative nor does it mean that its moral compass is working.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta: Get back to your damn office and do some serious homework! You and your administration have now become the enablers of the worst ideologies that the Middle East has to offer and you are abusing your only reliable ally in the region and throwing Israel under the bus to ingratiate your administration to a dangerous new group of dictators along with the existing miserable bunch.

The easiest way to understand the current situation in the United States is this:
We are in a new version of the 1960s with four significant differences.
1. The radicals aren’t just demonstrating in the universities, they control them.
2. The radicals aren’t being ignored by the mass media, they control them.
3. The president of the United States is the leader of the New Left, sort of like the head of the campus branch of SDS and the Black Student Alliance put together. In comparison, Bill Clinton was the head of the campus Young Democrats.
4. The music’s not nearly as good.
Yet is support for the radical Left really higher than in the 1960s? I don’t think so. The movement has just camouflaged itself much better, including convincing millions of people that this is a mainstream liberal one.

I nearly burst out laughing when I heard a Canadian “occupier” say that this occupation movement started in the Middle East and spread from there to Wall Street and on to Toronto. It struck me humorous on many levels, but frightening as well, starting with the fact that the Left formerly regarded “occupation” as a bad thing but now they have adopted the concept and look upon it as the right of the “99 percenters” to protest over the fact that they cannot live like a Bill Gates, Warren Buffet or the King of Saudi Arabia. Union leaders like Sid Ryan, a big supporter of the occupiers, should also be (but are not) placed in the greedy column by the mobs. Leftists seem to be immune from their own criticism. Occupation has been a derogatory term coined by leftists and Islamists to beat up on Israel and America and so I wonder why they chose to call themselves occupiers. They disingenuously strive to identify with the protestors in Egypt. The occupiers apparently do not take notice of the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood looks poised to take control of Egypt: Christians are being run down and killed in the streets by Islamists and the military; the Israeli embassy has been sacked; gas pipelines blown up; and peace agreements denounced. It is a country headed for disaster. Is this the model that the “occupiers” aspire to?

With Jewish Support, GOP Retakes Seat Held by Democrats for Nearly a Century
By Daniel Perez, with additional reporting by Fern Sidman
In an historic special election, Brooklyn and Queens voters have chosen a Republican to represent New York’s 9th Congressional District, a district that has rested securely in the hands of the Democratic Party since 1923 (and in fact, has only elected two Republicans since 1874). Some see the election of a GOP candidate in what has long been a liberal stronghold as local citizens’ way of rejecting certain policies of President Barack Obama’s administration, in particular the administration’s approach towards Israel.

Throwing his hat in the ring as the Republican contender for the vacant congressional seat in New York City’s 9th district is Bob Turner, a no-nonsense, back to basics populist candidate. As the 2012 presidential race gains momentum, Mr. Turner has an eye toward creating new and vibrant leadership in Washington, while taking issue with the controversial policies of the Obama administration. On Tuesday, September 13th, a special election will be held pitting Turner against New York State assemblyman David Weprin (D). Recently, The Jewish Voice sat down with Mr. Turner to get his perspective on the issues confronting Americans today.
JV: Mr. Turner, can you tell us, why, at age 70, having never been involved in politics, you are running for elected office?

“Do the Democrats have a double-standard for Obama?” My reply to this roundtable question follows below. For replies by Bernard A. Weisberger, Michael Lind, Kenneth W. Mack, Rick Shenkman, and Gil Troy, please go to http://hnn.us/
While it is certainly true that Democrats cut Obama slack on policies where they would slam Bush or McCain, as a fair-minded Republican I note that the reverse holds true as well: Republicans slam Obama and go easy on Bush. I will establish both points in my areas of expertise, the Middle East and Islam.

“Our mood is not one of celebration. Our mood is one of caution and concern. Unease sits heavily on our shoulders”, declared US Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) at the 2011 AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, DC. Expressing concern about the security of Israel he said, “At no time in Israel’s history has her future faced such tension and such serious tests. Uncertainty awaits us on many fronts.”

President Barack Obama told Democratic Party contributors in Miami:
“When you look at what’s happening…in the Middle East, it is a manifestation of new technologies, the winds of freedom that are blowing through countries that have not felt those winds in decades, a whole new generation that says I want to be a part of this world. It’s a dangerous time, but it’s also a huge opportunity for us.”

Our idiot “president” Barack Obama “… is requiring participation of the Muslim Brotherhood in any prospective new Egyptian government, while the brothers themselves are telling their countrymen to ‘prepare for war.’” Obama’s naivete and foolishness have gone outside any normal, agreed standards of decency. The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group whom murdered Anwar Sadat, the very Egyptian president who made peace with Israel! Obama, in his ultimate, diaper-wearing-foreign-policy-making may want to read the damn newspapers:
A political leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Thursday called on any government that replaces Hosni Mubarak’s regime to withdraw from the 32-year-old peace treaty with Israel.
“After President Mubarak steps down and a provisional government is formed, there is a need to dissolve the peace treaty with Israel,” Rashad al-Bayoumi, a deputy leader of the outlawed movement, said on Japan’s NHTV. …

Yes, you’re seeing it live: The thrashing death throes of the left-wing establishment imploding — actually putting themselves out of our misery, finally. Come on, comparing the GOP’s rhetoric on health care to the propaganda used by Goebbels? Ah… Rep. Cohen: You’ve crossed the line; you’re desperate; you’re having a tantrum because you and your ilk can’t bulldoze your agenda down Americans’ throats. From Rachel Rose Hartman:
Following calls to tone down political rhetoric in Washington, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) invoked the phrase “blood libel,” the Holocaust and Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels to attack Republicans on the issue of health care on the House floor late Tuesday night. …
Here’s what the “Honorable” Rep. Cohen actually said:

The amnesty-for-illegals crowd has found some sympathetic poster children.
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have pledged a vote as early as this week on the DREAM Act (Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors), a bill that would legalize illegal aliens who arrived here before the age of 16 and who comply with certain educational or military-service requirements.
The core principle behind this amnesty proposal is that it is aimed at those who have grown up here and are, psychologically and emotionally, Americans. In the words of America’s Voice, a hard-left open-borders group, the beneficiaries of the measure are “patriotic young Americans in all but paperwork.”

The President [Bush] is destroying the fabric of America with a combined policy of war, tax cuts for the wealthy, and reductions in spending for domestic needs.
- Charles B. Rangel
It wasn’t bad enough that Democrats were soundly rebuked by American voters just weeks ago. One of the most well-known, Democratic fixtures of U.S. politics, Rep. Charles B. Rangel, has been caught red-handed for, “improper fundraising, failure to pay taxes, and failure to report income on his Congressional financial disclosure forms.” According to the New York Times, “The House ethics committee Thursday recommended that … Rangel be formally censured for ethical misconduct, the most serious punishment the House can mete out short of expelling a member.” In other words, Rangel’s a big, fat lying cheating hypocrite who wants all us plebeians to keep our mouths shut, feel guilty for being Americans, and to do as ol’ Charlie says, not do as he does. Not only did he scam the American people, but also lied to them, as the Wall Street Journal pointed out more than a year ago:
