Hillary Clinton’s email scandal: media bias and the fall of a candidate

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

UPDATE: “Federal prosecutors investigating the possible mishandling of classified materials on Hillary Clinton’s private email server have begun the process of setting up formal interviews with some of her longtime and closest aides … Prosecutors also are expected to seek an interview with Clinton herself …”

“… the [Washington] Post summation makes clear that the mainstream press had almost nothing to do with uncovering the truth or advancing the story [of Hillary's email scandal]. …

So says Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) in an erudite op-ed headline story entitled “Clinton Email Scandal: How A Biased Press Tried To Ignore It.” Is it acceptable — even surprising — for many mainstream media titans to have willfully attempted to manipulate the outcome of a U.S. presidential election? Obviously, it is not acceptable — and I see more bias in “journalism” now than I ever have in my life. If Hillary Clinton were an average American, i.e., not a member of powerful dynastic family nor a former holder of high office, she would have already been indicted for damaging national security — at least have been forced to withdraw her candidacy for the U.S. presidency. (Our current two-party system has created many obstacles to prevent “little” or “average” people from getting anywhere near a position in high public office.) IBD editors paint a detailed, sordid, and well-documented portrait of America’s news media blatantly clearing a path for Hillary, whom they knew was and is most likely a felon, to become President of the United States:

… No one reading the [Washington] Post’s 5,000-word account can come away thinking that the Clinton email scandal is unimportant.

The FBI now has 147 agents chasing down leads. A key person involved in the scandal has been granted immunity. Hillary Clinton — who has already been caught in several lies — might be questioned by federal agents. There are fairly obvious violations of the law, even if it’s just those governing record-keeping. And there were, and continue to be, concerns that national security secrets were compromised, or at least casually disregarded. …

IBD does rightfully credit the Washington Post for reporting so thoroughly on Clinton’s flagrant flaunting of national security protocols. IBD itself appears 5th in a list of the “Top 5 U.S. Daily Newspapers with Paywalls” and 11th in a list of the “Top 25 U.S. Daily Newspaper Digital Editions.” We do thankfully still have at least some semblance of a free press. It is ironic that most media bias is driven by a philosophical/political agenda or plain greed, and is generally not a result of government coercion.

Hillary’s ability to, at least so far, walk on water is a symptom of the sad state of affairs in American politics: 1) too many citizens have disengaged from voting and grassroots activism, willfully or passively shirking their civic duty to protect democracy; and, 2) because citizens have disengaged, the U.S. has developed a professional political elite class, beholden mostly to the lobbyists with the fattest wallets and seeking to stay in office forever. George Orwell concluded his brilliant treatise Animal Farm with these words (you can read the whole book here):

… All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. … Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

As a nation, we’ve allowed some citizens to be more equal than others. We’ve allowed certain power-hungry individuals to obtain much more control over fellow citizens than our Founders intended (“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…”). Letting another Clinton walk upon water would be an enormous mistake and would set a very undemocratic precedent. But there still may be hope.

Our national government still has some checks and balances. When Hillary and then-Senator Barack Obama were vying against each other for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, the two candidates and campaigns often traded vitriolic and acrimonious barbs. These solar system-sized egos bruise easily. Hillary has often distanced herself from Obama during the current 2016 race. The FBI is currently conducting a large-scale investigation of Clinton. As headlines continually announce new revelations of Hillary’s alleged crimes, the pressure will mount on the White House to steer clear of meddling with the FBI’s investigation:

A former U.S. attorney predicted this week that Hillary Clinton “will not make it to the finish line” in 2016 because she will soon be facing a criminal indictment from the FBI. During an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Tuesday, famed attorney Joseph DiGenova said that the FBI has “reached a critical mass in their investigation of the secretary and all of her senior staff” and predicted that it would come to a head “in the next 60 days.”

DiGenova, who rose to national prominence during the Clinton scandals of the ’90s, told Ingraham that if Attorney General Loretta Lynch refuses to indict Clinton, there will be a “massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an Attorney General.”

FBI Director James Comey has not indicated when his agents will wrap up their months-long probe into Clinton’s possibly illegal “homebrew” email server, but during a Senate hearing last month, he said the FBI doesn’t “give a rip about politics” and that President Obama has not been briefed on the investigation.

DiGenova said that the FBI already “has so much information about criminal conduct by her and her staff that there is no way that they walk away from this.” …

Hillary’s “Emailgate” is ethically too big to sweep under the carpet. Will it be too big politically to sweep under the rug?

Sign Petition: Block President Obama’s Nominee for the Supreme Court

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016

ONE-CLICK: ACT NOW TO Block President Obama’s Nominee for the Supreme Court. Fill in your name, email, zip, and let Heritage send this message to your senators. This country is so out of balance, the last thing we need is a Supreme Court hell-bent on “progressive” judicial activism. We need a balance of powers.

The Constitution just says that the President, “by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint … Judges of the supreme Court…” Note that regarding the Constitution, “There’s no timeline nor guideline for how to hold confirmation proceedings. The Constitution doesn’t even say how big the court needs to be…” Now let’s refute all the Democratic Party’s bullying (nonsense) as to why Republicans must obey “King” Obama.

How about “Flashback: Senate Democrats in 1960 pass resolution against election-year Supreme Court recess appointments” … or … “Democrats’ behavior in 1987-88 — when they engaged in shameful character assassination against Robert Bork … one of the most consequential triumphs of Senate obstructionism in our lifetimes”? How about “Joe Biden in 1992: No nominations to the Supreme Court in an election year” … and finally, “FLASHBACK: In 2007, Schumer Called For Blocking All Bush Supreme Court Nominations”?

Introspection on how ‘Trump Could Win It All’

Saturday, January 16th, 2016

By Andrew L. Jaffee

Editor’s note: This is not an endorsement or a denouncement of Donald Trump. The author is seeking insight into the popularity and success of Trump as a political candidate.

Donald Trump’s ability to draw a crowd has flabbergasted even one of left-leaning MSNBC’s talk-show hosts, Joe Scarborough, who took to national airwaves to say the billionaire is beating all records — that his ability to pack a room with eager listeners exceeds anything even much-loved Ronald Reagan could do. …

“I saw Reagan come to Pensacola twice in 1980. I saw the crowds. I never saw anything like that in my hometown before. …”

Earlier this week, Trump attracted “a capacity crowd of nearly 12,000 at the Pensacola Bay Center on Florida’s panhandle.” Pensacola has a population of about 53,000 souls. Many, many Americans are fed up with, angry at, and/or disillusioned with Washington. It was not surprising to see a U.S. News & World Report story stating that “Trump Could Win It All: A new survey shows a sizable number of Democrats ready to defect from Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump.” Another recent study found that “Polls may actually underestimate Trump’s support” among Republican voters, showing that 40% may back The Donald. Whether people like Trump or not, agree with him or disagree, he has been willing to highlight some of this country’s most vexing — and to some, “controversial” — problems, like immigration and terrorism. He has proposed some controversial solutions to this nation’s predicaments. The vocabulary Trump has used in speaking about America’s dilemmas has been, prima facie and at times offensive, vague, and inaccurate. The terminology Trump has used when elucidating his proposals for resolving this country’s crises — and the logic behind his proposals — have also been, at times and prima facie irrational, offensive, vague, and inaccurate. Putting politically correct disclaimers aside, Trump’s rhetoric and platform are likely resonating harmonically with many Americans’ very well-founded concerns about the existential threats to this great republic.

Therein lies the rub: many Americans (71%) are tired of political correctness being shoved down their throats; tired of a narcissistic congress working for lobbyists and ignoring constituents; tired of a megalomaniac president; tired of watching an entitlement-seeking mob drag down a once-great republic; and tired of a mainstream media pumping out propaganda and morally bankrupt “entertainment.” Yes, Virginia, there is a “silent majority” and they don’t want to be betrayed again by some Washington insider(s). They are interested in listening to someone like Trump who isn’t owned by anybody and doesn’t need anyone else’s money. These are qualities that appeal to decent American folks — qualities now abhorrent to many of America’s power-brokers (they have to own their peons).

Iran pushes world towards Armageddon; Obama appeases and cowers

Thursday, January 7th, 2016

By Andrew L. Jaffee

Iran’s Islamist mullahs are, to say the least, violent, dangerous, insane, and certainly not trustworthy — as we’ve known for years and as the Iranian regime keeps proving every day. These thugs threaten not only the Middle East but the whole world. President Obama, obsessed with his “legacy,” has nonetheless signed a nuclear agreement with Iran which “commits Tehran to cutting back over more than a decade on nuclear technologies that could be used for weapons-making. In exchange, Iran will have access to about $100 billion in previously frozen assets and fully return to the oil market.” The mullahs have very publicly exclaimed, and most importantly acted, in ways that prove they have absolutely no intention of living up to the terms in Obama’s treaty. They intend to literally profit from this foolish treaty — and they certainly won’t stop pursuing the development of nuclear weapons. Recent events have emphasized that Iran has no intention of abiding by its obligations under Obama’s treaty. Even Democrats who supported the president’s agreement with Iran are “steaming.”

Let’s pause to review just a few of the reasons why any sane leader (i.e., not including President Obama) would refuse to sign a treaty with Iran’s mullahs. On multiple occasions, Iranian leadership has publicly stated its desire to “wipe Israel off the map” (and we know the only way they could try would be with atomic weapons). The mullahs are obsessed with the Islamic concept of the “mahdaviat,” which refers to “the restorer of religion and justice who will rule before the end of the world.” Just over a week ago, U.S. Central Command spokesman Commander Kyle Raines “said in a statement that Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval vessels fired ‘several unguided rockets’ about 1,500 yards from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.” In February of last year, Iran held a “large-scale naval and air defense drill” in the Strait of Hormuz which involved blowing up “a replica U.S. aircraft carrier,” an act meant to send “a clear message to [Iran's] ‘extraterritorial enemies’ in Washington.” How many times have we heard Iranian officials making statements like “Jihad Will Continue Until America is No More?” Other Muslim countries are at near-warlike odds with Iran: “American Decline: With the Iran nuclear deal, the U.S. has moved closer to the world’s foremost terror state. Our Arab allies and friends just moved further away.”

Despite all this insanity, the Obama administration is ready to capitulate to Iranian terror, meekly proclaiming today that:

Iran may be “days away” from complying with last summer’s nuclear deal, US secretary of state John Kerry has said, a step that would compel the US and other western nations to immediately suspend many sanctions on the Islamic republic.

We heard perhaps a glimmer of hope today that “The GOP-led House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday approved legislation that would give Congress greater oversight of the landmark nuclear deal with Iran,” but will Republicans really follow through?

Are we now in a situation in which the Western World (which includes Israel) will only stop Iran if it does something incredibly evil and on an utterly massive scale? I’ll leave you with several depressing thoughts which at least provide some insight into this foreign relations nightmare…

Juanita Broaddrick ‘revisiting her rape allegations against Bill Clinton;’ Hillary covering for Bill?

Wednesday, January 6th, 2016

Breaking news from Breitbart on Bill and Hillary Clinton:

A defiant Juanita Broaddrick told Breitbart on Wednesday that she is revisiting her rape allegations against Bill Clinton in hopes of educating a generation of young Americans on the former president’s sordid history with women.

She also slammed Hillary as “disgusting” for allegedly attempting to silence Broaddrick years ago while the Democratic frontrunner insisted in a recent campaign ad that women have a right to be believed if they accuse men of sexual assault.

“I thought, that’s the most disgusting thing,” Broaddrick told Breitbart of Hillary’s ad. “She tried to silence me.”

“I’m 73 years old, Aaron. Why would I want to bring this on myself other than to do right? So many people don’t really know. They weren’t around then. I think now they are waking up. When they see a woman abused and is coming forward I think it’s going to mean a lot.”

… the notoriously media-shy Broaddrick accused Clinton of complacency in covering up her husband’s alleged sexual crimes and indiscretions.

“I think she has always known everything about him. I think they have this evil compact between the two of them that they each know what the other does and overlook it. And go right on. And cover one for the other,” she said.

She recalled a personal meeting with Hillary in 1978, in which, Broaddrick believes, the future First Lady strongly implied the alleged rape victim must stay silent about her traumatic experience. …

More on GOP establishment’s betrayal of conservatives

Tuesday, January 5th, 2016

President Obama and his Democratic cadre have been working towards the destruction of American values as enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. Most, though not all, Republicans, have given Obama everything he wants — to the absolute delight of the Democratic faithful. Concerned citizens, many of whom consider themselves conservatives, have tried to use the ballot box to constrain Obama and friends’ agenda by voting for a Republican opposition — and working assiduously to organize grassroots lobbying to remind the Republicans they’ve elected to oppose the grand “liberal” dream of destroying a good thing: the United States of America.

We recently discussed Sarah Palin very eloquently expressing dismay over the current GOP congressional delegation, aptly comparing them to “abusers” and extending the metaphor to place voters as Republicans’ “battered wife.” Now Daniel Horowitz of the Conservative Review paints in more of the picture — with a historical context — regarding the uselessness of having a congress in which Republicans control both houses (“Top 10 GOP Betrayals in 2015″). Please read his entire commentary as he summarizes the most important battles of our time against an out-of-control Democratic machine — battles we must continue to fight and win for the sake of this republic. Here’s a teaser from Horowitz’s full article:

2015 will likely be remembered as the year the GOP base finally rebelled against the party leadership, taking the half-century long schism within the party to the point of no return. The betrayal by the party establishment was so profound and blatant that GOP voters everywhere discovered what many of us have known for years — the party establishment does not share our values. …

This ain’t your grandfather’s Democrat Party; nor is this the party of Tip O’Neill or even Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer of the early ’90s who supported border security and religious freedom respectively. This is the party of transgenders, illegal aliens, and the Muslim Brotherhood. This is the party of licentiousness, totalitarianism, and post-Americanism. So yes, the consequences of remaining silent and even tacitly supporting this agenda are more deleterious than the ineptitude of former GOP House Minority Leader Bob Michael in fighting Democrats of yesteryear.

Last November, Americans went out and voted for a GOP Congress. Out popped Democrat policies, much like the rigged ballot machines in Maryland that would render Republican votes as Democratic ones. As Chuck Schumer jubilantly declared following the omnibus bill, “the bills we’re passing reflect Democratic values.” He boasted that “even though we’re in the minority, we are passing a program that we have been for all along.” …

Let’s take stock of the top 10 betrayals of this year that have precipitated the final divorce of the GOP elites and its party base:

1. Reelecting John Boehner

2. Funding the Entire Amnesty Program

3. Corker-Cardin Iran Deal

4. Social Issues, Religious Liberty, and Judicial Tyranny

5. Funding of Planned Parenthood

6. Criminal Justice Deform

7. The Great Fiscal Betrayal

8. Obamatrade

9. Islamic Refugees from the Middle East and Africa

10. Surrendering the Power of the Purse …

The good news? You can’t fool all the people all the time. This year voters will respond to these betrayals, and if the polls are any indication, it appears the establishment is in for a rough 2016.

Sarah Palin on the GOP’s betrayal of American conservatives

Sunday, December 20th, 2015

Many Republicans have betrayed American voters — especially conservative voters. On November 4, 2014, citizens gave the GOP a strong mandate to oppose the policies of President Obama and his fellow Democrats. Republicans strengthened their hold on state legislatures, governorships, and the U.S. House and Senate, but almost immediately starting giving Obama everything he wanted. Obama’s goal is nothing less than the destruction of American values as enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, yet Republicans — as evidenced by their actions, certainly not their words — have gone happily along with the president. Yesterday, Sarah Palin very eloquently expressed dismay over the GOP congressional delegation, aptly comparing them to “abusers” and extending the metaphor to place voters as Republicans’ “battered wife:”

… For the last seven years, grassroots conservatives rallied to action under the belief that change starts at the ballot box. As I’ve said many times: there is nothing wrong with this country that a good old-fashioned election can’t fix.

People put their own lives on hold to send these Republicans to Congress to take back control of the House and Senate, to get a handle on our bankrupt federal government, and put America on the right track. I think of all the cross-country redeye flights I took away from my young son in order to campaign for Republican candidates, so full of promises, over the years. Others gave up a lot more than I did to elect a “conservative” majority.

Together, we grassroots conservatives gave the GOP historic electoral victories because they promised us they would stop Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America.”

Instead, they abetted it. They are Obama’s accomplices.

With this omnibus bill, they broke every promise they made to us. Every single one. They’ve reached a level of brazen duplicity previously known only to Democrats.

Obamacare? It’s fully funded.

Planned Parenthood, which was caught red-handed haggling over the sale of dead babies? It’s funded too.

Obama’s illegal executive amnesty? Funded.

Illegal alien sanctuary cities? Funded.

Visas for un-vetted Muslim migrants (“refugees”) to resettle in America? Funded.

Obama’s green energy crony capitalism? Funded.

Tax credits for illegal aliens? Funded.

H-2B visas to replace American workers with cheap unskilled foreign workers? Yep, that’s in there too.

What about funds for the fence that we so desperately need on our southern border? Nope, sorry, they couldn’t find any money for that.

Basically, everything commonsense conservatives despise — and Republicans promised to put an end to if elected — was funded by this omnibus.

They weren’t worried about the promises they made to us. This omnibus was written by lobbyists for lobbyists and passed by corrupted politicians fulfilling promises to these cronies with deep pockets. They campaigned one way, then governed another way.

This is why people hate politics and politicians. This is why they tune out and stay home. Reading through chunks of this bloated spending bill that drives us further into bankruptcy I steamed, “That’s it. They can’t be trusted. I’m outta here because they do not stand on the planks of the GOP platform, not one iota.”

But you know what, my fellow conservatives — that’s what the GOP establishment wants us to do!

They want us to leave the Party or just sit out elections.

Without us around, their handpicked puppets can be elected in gerrymandered districts without any pesky conservative primary challengers.

The Congressional GOP establishment doesn’t care about winning national elections. As far as they’re concerned, Hillary can have the White House — just so long as they can keep their cushy jobs on Capitol Hill.

In fact, having a Democrat in the White House is probably good for business. They don’t want to have to lead on anything — they’ve had ample opportunity to do so! — and a Democrat president is a nice foil for them. They can enjoy the status quo, enjoy all the crony capital cash, enjoy the perks of office, and as the country continues to crash and burn, they can tell the folks back home it’s all President Hillary’s fault.

Thankfully, not everyone with an “R” after their name is happy with the corrupt status quo. And there are a lot more good guys in Congress now thanks to the Tea Party.

So, no, it’s not time to leave the GOP. We’re going to make our abusers leave.

We’re not going to let them hit us again. …

FPM: “Trump is a monster, a madman and a vile racist. He’s just like Hitler. Or Jimmy Carter.”

Thursday, December 10th, 2015

Donald Trump got crucified by the whole left-wing establishment (from media to government to academia) — and by some members of the GOP — for merely suggesting that the U.S. stop all Muslim immigration. But it was a Democratic President — a left-wing icon — who actually did ban Muslim immigration and even deported thousands of Muslims from American soil. From

Trump is a monster, a madman and a vile racist. He’s just like Hitler. Or Jimmy Carter.

During the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter issued a number of orders to put pressure on Iran. Among these, Iranians were banned from entering the United States unless they oppose the Shiite Islamist regime or had a medical emergency.

Here’s Jimmy “Hitler” Carter saying it back in 1980.

Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly.

Apparently barring people from a terrorist country is not against “our values” after all. It may even be “who we are”. Either that or Carter was a racist monster just like Trump.

Meanwhile here’s how the Iranian students in the US were treated.

Carter orders 50,000 Iranian students in US to report to immigration office with view to deporting those in violation of their visas. On 27 December 1979, US appeals court allows deportation of Iranian students found in violation.

In November 1979, the Attorney General had given all Iranian students one month to report to the local immigration office. Around 7,000 were found in violation of their visas. Around 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the US. …

But it’s “different” when a Democrat does it?

NRO: “discarding the Bill of Rights is part of the Obama administration’s mission statement”

Saturday, December 5th, 2015

In the wake of the savage Islamist-inspired San Bernardino attack, in which two Muslim terrorists murdered 14 innocent U.S. citizens and injured 23, Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s “greatest fear is — not terrorism — but a nonexistent Islamophobic backlash,” according to the National Review Online’s David French. He aptly notes that “Lynch has offered an almost Onion-level self-parody of liberal pieties” and reminds us common non-elist folk that, “Per Obama administration protocol, the attorney general was determined to never let a crisis go to waste. There is now a ‘wonderful opportunity and wonderful moment to really make significant change,’ Lynch declared…” In other words, are Obama et al — in their ineptitude, cowardice, and appeasement of Muslim terror — willing to silence or punish, even arrest, people who speak candidly about issues like terrorism? Why didn’t Lynch emphasize sympathy for the victims and express outrage over Islamist-inspired terror?

Obama and friends are sympathetic to what they see as the “historical” and current “persecution” of Muslims world-wide — even though many Muslims historically and are currently (and mostly) persecuting each other and those they deem as infidels. The President and his followers also suffer from the fallacious belief that if they appease Muslim extremists, they’ll be spared the wrath of Islamist terrorism. The truth is that Islamists disdain those who appease them and consider appeasers weak.

As French correctly notes:

… discarding the Bill of Rights is part of the Obama administration’s mission statement. The First Amendment takes a back seat to the administration’s desire to build a national “safe space” for Muslims. The Second Amendment should be tossed aside (without due process, no less) if a person’s name appears on a bloated bureaucratic watch list — a list so over-inclusive that it has included such nefarious characters as The Weekly Standard’s Stephen Hayes and the late senator Ted Kennedy. …

Remember that Obama belittles us little people as folks who “get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,” when he is possibly one of the most divisive presidents in American history.

French warns us that:

… The First Amendment protects an enormous range of speech — even speech that’s anathema to the Obama administration. Americans are perfectly within their rights to not just condemn jihad but also to make sweeping and angry statements about Islam. If the administration disagrees with this speech, it’s free to make its own statements, but when it starts making up legal categories of problematic speech, it is getting disturbingly close to discarding the Bill of Rights.

He concludes that:

… A competent attorney general shouldn’t even be talking about her ‘greatest fears,’ much less that her greatest fear includes free speech. A competent attorney general should be speaking the language of vigilance, courage, and resolve. We know the Obama administration is capable of resolve. It is resolved to fundamentally transform our nation. It is resolved to advance the sexual-revolution agenda of the radical Left. It is resolved to turn our nation’s military into an engine of social justice. But it is not resolved to defend our nation and Constitution from a vicious enemy who seeks to soak our streets in blood. And that lack of resolve is worse than a shame — it’s a disgrace.

Secretary of State John Kerry excuses Islamist terrorist murder of civilians

Sunday, November 22nd, 2015

It’s hard to believe that an American secretary of state would justify terrorism — well, not so hard to believe considering the depravity of the Obama administration. Regarding the savage murder of 12 journalists by Islamists at the Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris in January, Kerry said:

… “There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of — not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, ‘OK, they’re really angry because of this and that’” …

“Legitimacy” and “rationale” for the murder of satirical cartoonists drawing and publishing pictures? This is outrageous. John Kerry is despicable, justifying terror meant to silence two of the West’s most hallowed ideals: 1) the practice of free speech and 2) the protection of a free press. Kerry should be fired by President Obama — at least censured — but Obama agrees with Kerry. What a said state of affairs. But such type behavior shall only increase if the American people remain silent.

Stand up for what is right. Remind your elected officials of the ideals enshrined in our nation’s Constitution. Ask that John Kerry step down from his position. Ask your public officials to publicly condemn Kerry and demand that he step down. You can use the following link to contact your elected representatives:

Democratic presidential contenders stick to appeasement/foolishness despite Paris terror attacks

Thursday, November 19th, 2015

Why learn the lessons of history when you can pander to a constituency that refuses to recognize the threat of radical Islamists? The Islamist savages murdered 129 and wounded over 350 innocents in Paris Friday, but during the Democratic presidential debate on Saturday in Iowa, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Martin O’Malley insisted they would continue their firm commitments to appeasing and/or ignoring Islamist murderers:

… 1) Hillary Clinton would refuse to apply the phrase “radical Islam” to ISIS; 2) Bernie Sanders would maintain that climate change is a greater threat to national security than ISIS or Islamic terrorism in general; and 3) Martin O’Malley, with Clinton’s agreement, would insist that the U.S. stick to a proposal to admit 65,000 Syria refugees into the country. …

History shows us the terrible consequences of appeasing terror. Just one example out of many is sufficient. Have people already forgotten what happened to this world — how many millions of innocents were killed — after throngs of cowards catered to Hitler and Stalin in the mid 20th century?

Obama’s unpopularity trend: approval 39%; disapproval 53%

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013

Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

Today’s report from Gallup dated Tuesday, November 05, 2013 shows bad news for President Obama. The Jan 21-23 2009 data points showed his approval at 68% and disapproval at 12%. The Nov 2-4 2013 data points showed his approval at 39% and disapproval at 53%. I hope he keeps up his dismal performance. Look at the interactive chart for yourself.

This man is the worst president in modern American history — yes, even worse than Jimma Carter. He’s spied on his own people through the NSA, allowed Americans to be needlessly killed in Benghazi, used the IRS as a political tool to suppress his opposition, tried to take away the constitutional right to bear arms, tried to push immigration “reform” which is just a ploy to turn 11 – 20 million illegals into Democrats, and now is watching his “signature legislation,” Obamacare, crash and burn. Should I continue with a laundry list of his egregious misdeeds?

It’s a time for change back to common sense politics. Americans must get engaged in the democratic process for all their local, state, and national 2014 and 2016 elections.

Constitutional amendment to remedy the “Do As I Say (Not As I Do)” syndrome?

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013

By Andrew L. Jaffee, Captain
New Mexico Conservatives for Freedom
Restoring America Together

Americans have gotten used to, and quite fed up with, many of our elitist politicians who “Do As I Say (Not As I Do).” Isn’t it about time that all Americans live as equals? Have we fought so many great battles — the Revolution, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Civil Rights Movement — just to end up with elitist politicians pushing us around, not caring about what we who pay for their cushy jobs believe in? One of our politicians, Rand Paul, is demanding that Americans do live as equals. Now the question is: Can we get enough people in the U.S. together to start the ball rolling to propose Paul’s amendment to the United States Constitution as described in Article Five? (Click here for the process by which we amend our constitution.)

Oct 21, 2013
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Rand Paul last week introduced S.J. Res. 25, a Constitutional amendment that would hold government officials to the same standard as the American people. The amendment states that “Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress.” The amendment also contains two provisions that apply that same principle to the Executive Branch and Judicial Branch of the federal government. The amendment text can be found below:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government. (Introduced in Senate – IS)

SJ 25 IS

1st Session

S. J. RES. 25

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government.

October 11, 2013

Mr. PAUL introduced the following joint resolution; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relative to applying laws equally to the citizens of the United States and the Federal Government.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States:

‘Section 1. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress.

Colorado Gov. tells gun control groups to ‘stay away’

Monday, October 14th, 2013

Gun control “activists” have had a really bad time trying to take away American citizens’ rights to protect themselves — and I explain in detail below, giving you all the info you need to protect gun rights. But the latest blow to “gun control” (the dis-empowering of good people) was made by non-other than the Democratic governor of Colorado:

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper suggests national gun-control groups stay away from a looming recall battle that could switch control of the state Senate to the GOP. The groups poured money into an unsuccessful defense of two state lawmakers recalled over their gun votes earlier this year.

“Colorado is a state that people like to be themselves and solve their own problems,” the Democratic governor said in an interview with Capital Download, USA TODAY’s weekly video newsmaker series. “They don’t really like outside organizations meddling in their affairs, and maybe the NRA gets a pass on that.

“But (it is) probably not a bad idea” for gun-control groups, such as the one established by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, to curb their efforts if gun-rights activists collect enough signatures to force a recall vote on state Sen. Evie Hudak, a two-term Democrat from a suburban district north of Denver, he said.

If Republicans succeed in gaining her seat, Democrats would lose their 18-17 edge in the state Senate.

Petition organizers have until Dec. 3 to collect 18,900 signatures. “They’re well-funded and there’s a lot of energy behind this, a lot of frustration,” Hickenlooper said. “I’m going to guess it’s probably 50-50″ that they will be able to get the recall vote on the ballot.

But, he noted, “I didn’t think they’d get enough signatures for the first two.”

(Ed. note: Our emphasis added.)

Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City, billionaire, desiring to rewrite the constitution, and countrywide buttinski suffered a major “gun control” loss in June in Nevada. He and his pet group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), “spent hundreds of thousands of dollars” to buy passage of the Nevada state legislature’s bill SB 221, another dangerous piece of gun control legislation dressed up to look palatable by applying the innocuous-sounding “background check” label to it. Bloomberg lost, and lost big-time, not because of a paid opposition wading in money, but because of a viral grass-roots effort organized by average Americans provided with information by several pro-Second Amendment advocacy groups. Bloom-baby: Money can’t buy you love.

The 2014 Six-Year-Itch Election

by Yoram Ettinger, “Israel Hayom”

President Obama’s maneuverability, domestically and internationally, will depend on the outcome of the very critical November, 2014 six-year-itch election campaign, which is already underway.

The outcome of Obama’s second midterm election — which clipped the wings of many second term presidents — will determine his capability to become a transformational president. It will either coalesce House and Senate Democrats around him, or will doom him to a lame duck presidency, transferring top Senate leadership positions and all committee and subcommittee chairmanships to the GOP.
