Google Shuts Down Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) On YouTube … Again

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Ed note: See update below.

Google speaks with a forked tongue. The Internet giant is a hypocritical company, censoring valid news because of political correctness while at the same time urging its customers to act to oppose those whom want “the power to pick and choose what you will be able to see and do on the Internet.” Google has shut down the venerable Palestinian Media Watch’s (PMW’s) YouTube account because PMW dares to translate anti-Jewish violent hate-speech produced by Palestinian media from Arabic into English. This is not the first time Google has stifled PMW — the Internet portal has also permitted, “YouTube [to] host… genocidal antisemitic videos.” Important point: There’s a difference between 1) exposing hatred for the purpose of enlightening the public, as PMW does, and 2) groups whom are actually posting videos to promote hatred. Does Google understand this?

Here’s the scoop: “In response to yesterday’s PMW video-bulletin which showed the PA Mufti’s speech that Muslims’ destiny is to kill Jews, YouTube has frozen PMW’s account. All PMW videos are working except this one but the account is frozen and PMW cannot upload new videos for the next two weeks.” WRITE TO GOOGLE AND ASK THEM TO PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH.

No one will silence me. Watch it here:

PA Mufti calls for the killing of Jews quoting Islamic Hadith from Palestinian Media Watch on Vimeo.

Update: “YouTube reopens PMW account:”

PMW is pleased to report that YouTube has reopened PMW’s account. Thanks to those of our subscribers and supporters who contacted YouTube on our behalf, the video of the PA Mufti saying Muslim destiny is to kill Jews is once again available for viewing. …

Jews and Hindus: Building A Passage to India

Friday, January 13th, 2012

by Phyllis Chesler

Jews and HIndus have both been victims of attempted extermination by Islamics. Of course, not all Muslims are terrorists. But today, most terrorists are Muslims. A speech to Hindu youth in Pune.

On January 8, 2012, I delivered a rather passionate speech in Pune, India via Skype. I was invited to do so by “Youth 4 Panun Kashmir.” The organizers were especially interested in my drawing parallels between Israel and India, Jews and Hindus both of whom have, historically, been genocidally exterminated and driven out of their holy places.

Hamas TV: “Our killing of the Jews [is] an act of worship”

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

So the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, both known genocide-promoting, Israel-hating, and Jew-killing bands of thugs have signed a “reconciliation deal.” So what? They hate each other as much or more than they hate Jews. They’ll never make with peace with Israel, no matter that morons like Defense Secretary Leon Panetta scream that Israel, a civilized democracy, is the party which needs to, “Get back to the damn [negotiating] table,” with two, not just one, group of homicidal maniacs. Palestinian blood-hatred against Israelis has been well-documented for years; they’ve been killing Israeli Jews, Arabs, Druze, Christians, etc., for years — yet the drum-beat persists that Israel needs to make concessions. Don’t believe me? Listen to the latest evil vitriol of Hamas in its own words (e.g., “We harvest the skulls of the Jews”) for yourself, courtesy of MEMRI:

Anti-Israel LUSH Cosmetics Quietly Closes Beverly Hills Store

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

By Join the Boycott (JtB)

The anti-Israel company LUSH Cosmetics has quietly closed its Beverly Hills location approximately 3 months after JtB organized a protest outside the store to expose the company’s support of PLO extremism.

LUSH (with stores in the UK, Pasadena, Santa Monica, Anaheim, all over the US, and over 40 countries) is taking your money and giving it to support the PLO’s extremist One World Campaign which portrays Israel as an “illegal” occupier committing “crimes” against “Palestine” and grossly exaggerates the suffering in Gaza. Please write to customercare@lush.co.uk to protest their anti-Israel extremism and CC jointheboycott@inbox.comsee example and list of US locations. The “FLUSH LUSH” video is © JtB 1/2/12.

How Can Israel Please the American Government, Media, and “Experts?” It Can’t

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

By Barry Rubin

There is a constant effort — especially by the anti-Israel left–to portray those who express mainstream  Israeli public opinion and the views of professional analysts as “right-wing” or “Likudnik.” This leads me to wonder what one would have to say to please these people. What would be the equivalent of a “liberal” position for Israel according to them? What kinds of positions would they see as legitimate?

What follows is not meant to exaggerate in any way but is, I believe, a genuine list of what they demand. To please them, I presume one would have to say the following:

The world forces Israel to pay for its guilt

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

By Gary Gerofsky

The obsession of the EU, the USA, the UN, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Russia and even the Vatican to interfere in Israel’s domestic and foreign policy reminds me of the treatment of a Big Brother who has failed to do right in his past and thinks that he can make amends by forcing little brother to make all the sacrifices that Big Brother never has and never will make to satisfy a guilty conscience.

Newt Gingrich and the “Invented” Palestinian People

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

by Daniel Pipes*

The former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and current Republican presidential candidate said yesterday that “there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. We have invented the Palestinian people, who are in fact Arabs and are historically part of the Arab people, and they had the chance to go many places.”

The Majdalani Effect, The Zawahiri Strategy and the Curse on the Middle East

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

By Barry Rubin

In a rare glimpse behind the curtain, a Palestinian scandal sheds a lot of light on the Palestinian Authority, Arab politics, and Western illusions. Palestinian Authority (PA) Minister of Labor Ahmed Majdalani was being interviewed by a radio station when, not realizing that his microphone was on, he referred to Palestinian workers as “brothers of whores.” Hundreds of callers complained. Majdalani’s answer? He claimed he was talking about Israelis, not Palestinians!

Jordan Is Palestinian

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

by Mudar Zahran*

Thus far the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has weathered the storm that has swept across the Middle East since the beginning of the year. But the relative calm in Amman is an illusion. The unspoken truth is that the Palestinians, the country’s largest ethnic group, have developed a profound hatred of the regime and view the Hashemites as occupiers of eastern Palestine — intruders rather than legitimate rulers. This, in turn, makes a regime change in Jordan more likely than ever. Such a change, however, would not only be confined to the toppling of yet another Arab despot but would also open the door to the only viable peace solution — and one that has effectively existed for quite some time: a Palestinian state in Jordan.

To Sweden: Save Khalid Saheed’s Life - Let Him Stay

Monday, December 5th, 2011

by Phyllis Chesler

Sweden is the country that once awarded Yasir Arafat a Noble Peace Prize, but Sweden has also been at the forefront of human rights activism and legislation. Now, in sending an apostate back to Pakistan, Sweden is failing its own stated ideals.

We all used to think of Sweden as a very “progressive” country. Now, alas, the word “progressive” has come to mean other, certain things.

“A two-state solution is already in place,” says GOP congressional candidate

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

By Fern Sidman

“A two state solution in the Middle East is already in place and that constitutes Israel and Jordan,” declared GOP congressional candidate Karen Harrington. Delivering her remarks on Saturday evening December 3rd, at the New York Hall of Science Museum on the occasion of the 23rd annual Hebron Fund dinner, Ms. Harrington told the audience of over 500 stalwart supporters of a continued Jewish presence in the holy city of Hebron that, “President Obama is placing Israel at risk and his reckless foreign policy change concerning Israel retreating to 1967 borders must be adamantly rejected.”

Panetta insults Israel: “Get back to the damn table”

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011

By Gary Gerofsky

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta: Get back to your damn office and do some serious homework! You and your administration have now become the enablers of the worst ideologies that the Middle East has to offer and you are abusing your only reliable ally in the region and throwing Israel under the bus to ingratiate your administration to a dangerous new group of dictators along with the existing miserable bunch.

Topographer speaks out on Israel’s defense of Greek drilling rights

Friday, November 25th, 2011

By Fern Sidman

In an exclusive interview with Arutz Sheva, New York City topographer and recent ZOA awardee Mark Langfan, responded to statements made by Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon while on an official visit to Greece. According to wire service reports, during a news briefing on Tuesday, Ayalon was asked what Israel’s reaction would be to a threat posed by Turkey regarding oil drilling in Cyprus. Ayalon unequivocally stated: “If anyone tries to challenge these drillings, we will meet these challenges.” Last month Turkey said it would send naval forces to protect its drilling rights.

Europe and the Palestinians: What’s the Difference Between Ordinary insanity and Middle East Policy Insanity?

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

By Barry Rubin

What is the definition of insanity? Repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.

What is the definition of Middle East policy insanity? Intensifying the same behavior that has already failed and expecting a better result.

The Ship of Fools and Admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa

Friday, November 11th, 2011

By Alexander Maistrovoy

Political commentaries about the events in the Middle East resemble mythological plots written by an experienced censor.

Myths don’t need facts. Their creators’ adjust the facts to their own paradigm. And ideological mythology is not an exception.

Western journalists’ commentaries on Middle East problems give me a sense of deja vu. It feels as though they have undergone the censorship of the Soviet Political Bureau or rather were written by the editor of Soviet “Pravda”, and then distributed with slight modifications, when actually these were written in The Washington Post, La Repubblica, Israel’s Haaretz and other “trustworthy” publications.
