Iran pushes world towards Armageddon; Obama appeases and cowers

Thursday, January 7th, 2016

By Andrew L. Jaffee

Iran’s Islamist mullahs are, to say the least, violent, dangerous, insane, and certainly not trustworthy — as we’ve known for years and as the Iranian regime keeps proving every day. These thugs threaten not only the Middle East but the whole world. President Obama, obsessed with his “legacy,” has nonetheless signed a nuclear agreement with Iran which “commits Tehran to cutting back over more than a decade on nuclear technologies that could be used for weapons-making. In exchange, Iran will have access to about $100 billion in previously frozen assets and fully return to the oil market.” The mullahs have very publicly exclaimed, and most importantly acted, in ways that prove they have absolutely no intention of living up to the terms in Obama’s treaty. They intend to literally profit from this foolish treaty — and they certainly won’t stop pursuing the development of nuclear weapons. Recent events have emphasized that Iran has no intention of abiding by its obligations under Obama’s treaty. Even Democrats who supported the president’s agreement with Iran are “steaming.”

Let’s pause to review just a few of the reasons why any sane leader (i.e., not including President Obama) would refuse to sign a treaty with Iran’s mullahs. On multiple occasions, Iranian leadership has publicly stated its desire to “wipe Israel off the map” (and we know the only way they could try would be with atomic weapons). The mullahs are obsessed with the Islamic concept of the “mahdaviat,” which refers to “the restorer of religion and justice who will rule before the end of the world.” Just over a week ago, U.S. Central Command spokesman Commander Kyle Raines “said in a statement that Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval vessels fired ‘several unguided rockets’ about 1,500 yards from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.” In February of last year, Iran held a “large-scale naval and air defense drill” in the Strait of Hormuz which involved blowing up “a replica U.S. aircraft carrier,” an act meant to send “a clear message to [Iran's] ‘extraterritorial enemies’ in Washington.” How many times have we heard Iranian officials making statements like “Jihad Will Continue Until America is No More?” Other Muslim countries are at near-warlike odds with Iran: “American Decline: With the Iran nuclear deal, the U.S. has moved closer to the world’s foremost terror state. Our Arab allies and friends just moved further away.”

Despite all this insanity, the Obama administration is ready to capitulate to Iranian terror, meekly proclaiming today that:

Iran may be “days away” from complying with last summer’s nuclear deal, US secretary of state John Kerry has said, a step that would compel the US and other western nations to immediately suspend many sanctions on the Islamic republic.

We heard perhaps a glimmer of hope today that “The GOP-led House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday approved legislation that would give Congress greater oversight of the landmark nuclear deal with Iran,” but will Republicans really follow through?

Are we now in a situation in which the Western World (which includes Israel) will only stop Iran if it does something incredibly evil and on an utterly massive scale? I’ll leave you with several depressing thoughts which at least provide some insight into this foreign relations nightmare…

I saw the future — anti-Semitism — at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Friday, March 28th, 2014

By Gary Gerofsky

In a gymnasium on the campus of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, which is used for sports, concerts and normally happy and festive events of student life, I saw the future. It was in the form of a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) vote that passed overwhelmingly. The vote passed but will not take effect at this time because they did not get quorum (they needed over 600 students but they had a little over 400). I am told that the pending vote will be passed along to senate where its fate will be in the hands of that body. Regardless, one day soon, as on hundreds of campuses throughout the land, these and similar anti-civilization votes are or will be taking place. They are attended by hundreds of students, a good portion dressed in Islamic attire; some older students who do not appear to be students at all, angrier and more determined than your average Canadian student. Also in attendance are many Muslims and other supporters who are often bussed in by various religious and other groups, churches, unions, etc.

Appeasement, apology and transfer of moral authority — new U.S. foreign policy

Friday, July 19th, 2013

By Gary Gerofsky

I read an article by Barry Rubin regarding American politics vis-a-vis “The Arab Spring” entitled, “At last, The Secret of President Barack Obama’s Middle East Policy Revealed, No Kidding.” It is profoundly disturbing because it points out (in the diplomatic-speak of US officials) that the foreign policy of the US is now built on appeasement and a quid pro quo arrangement that trades moral and material support to the Muslim Brotherhood and, ultimately, Al Qaeda, Iran and all other terror entities, for protection against violent jihad by terrorists.

The US mainland will be safe (the new unwritten doctrine suggests) provided bribes are paid to Islamists and leftists in whatever form the Islamists and leftists demand (and the demands grow and change to suit their evolving politics). Forced respect for “the religion of peace” (a popular misnomer for Islam) and subversion of free speech and truth are high demands now being quietly exacted by an Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)-controlled UN with their European sycophants looking for Obama backing. The US and Europe are willing to trade Israel’s security to make Europe and the Obama administration feel righteous.

Best Buy is Supporting Anti-U.S., Anti-Israel CAIR

Monday, December 3rd, 2012

by Join the Boycott

Best Buy is giving your hard-earned wages to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an extremist, anti-U.S., anti-Israel organization. CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, accused of funneling funds to the Hamas terrorist group. The U.S. has also identified CAIR as an agent of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood with a goal of imposing Islamic Law in the U.S. by means of “stealth jihad” on the way to achieving a, “global Islamic State.” Earlier this year CAIR announced that Best Buy was a Platinum Sponsor of its annual banquet in Minnesota (see Facebook posting below) and, according to the website Islamist Watch, Best Buy has refused to rule out further funding of CAIR. Best Buy has not responded to Join the Boycott’s letter expressing outrage over its support of CAIR. Please do not shop at Best Buy until it promises to stop supporting CAIR, and please write to them at communityrelations@bestbuy.com to express your outrage, and CC us at jointheboycott@inbox.com. Thank you.

Time for regime change in Iran

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

By Saeed Ghasseminejad and Sara Akrami

Iran’s nuclear problem remains unresolved, and seems to be irresolvable, as the Islamic regime is desperate for a nuclear bomb. Iran has not shown any interest in the offers made by the international community. However, there is a road not yet been taken, and that is investing in the Iranian people, who have experienced two major revolutions over the past 100 years.

Three years ago, the Iranian people showed that they were ready to take to the streets and protest against Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader. In order to stop an apocalyptic, fundamentalist regime from acquiring a nuclear bomb, democratic states of the world need to change their policies toward the Iranian government.

Effective Sanctions on Iran — Oxymoron

Sunday, November 18th, 2012

by Yoram Ettinger, The Ettinger Report

Twenty eight years of unilateral and multilateral US-led sanctions, accompanied by diplomatic pressure and cyber sabotage, have failed to deter Iran’s Ayatollahs from approaching nuclear capabilities.

Fifty years of proliferated sanctions — since the 1962 military coup in Burma — have been largely unsuccessful in changing policies of rogue regimes.

In fact, the US focus on sanctions and engagement — rather than confrontation — has facilitated Iran’s nuclear drive. It has provided Teheran with more time to develop and acquire critical nuclear capabilities.

Sanctions have effectively eroded Iran’s economy. Sanctions have been ineffective in diverting Iran from its nuclear path.
