French President Jacques Chirac, friend of Saddam Hussein, who presided over the oil-for-food debacle, who put his own popularity and French “pride” over dozens of national and international issues which deserved serious consideration — I don’t trust anything he does or says. I do believe that France’s interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, is the best hope to tackle France’s immigration, economic, and social problems. So what the heck is Chirac doing endorsing Sarkozy’s bid to be the next president of the republic?

“Sen. Obama Rebuffs George Soros on Hamas” reports, “Sen. Barack Obama has rebuffed Democratic financier George Soros, who charged that the U.S. refuses to negotiate with the Palestinians’ Hamas-led government because of the influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.” (Come on, George, why don’t you just say “Zionist Occupied Government” the way your friends at MoveOn.org do?)
Barack Obama deserves credit for disagreeing with his sugar daddy (”Because of a special provision campaign finance laws, the Soroses were able to give a collective $60,000 to Obama during his primary challenge”), but Americans need him to make a very clear choice. Is he with America and common decency, or is he with George Soros and his hate group MoveOn.org?

The news out of Somalia is again grim. The Islamist groups, capitalizing on the incompetence and inability of the government to do anything and its unwillingness to try to give a broad swath of the population a true stake in the government, are on the rise. The government’s already-weak support is evaporating.

Since Mustafa Kemal Atatürk founded modern Turkey in 1923, the Turkish Republic has clung to secularism and nationalism as bedrock principles. After the introduction of the multiparty democratic system in 1946, the struggle between hard-line Kemalists and others—liberals, communists, and Islamists—has dominated Turkish political history. The November 2002 victory of the Justice and Development Party (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi, AKP), an Islamist party with anti-Kemalist roots, is just the latest manifestation of this struggle.

…plus contempt and ridicule for Jews it doesn’t like
by Bill Levinson
We have previously described how the National Jewish Democratic Council (which is about as representative of decent Jews as the Ku Klux Klan is of decent Caucasian Gentiles) tried to whitewash MoveOn.org’s racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian hate speech while publishing anti-Semitic propaganda to damage Jewish-Evangelical relations. We have now had the opportunity to review NJDC’s “Bubbie” ads, which supported John Kerry’s candidacy in 2004. In addition to presenting a sterotyped Jewish grandmother (funny, just as animated Negroes with enormous lips and huge white eyes were considered funny 60 or 70 years ago), the animations are designed to promote distrust of Christians. This, in conjunction with NJDC’s “Jews have a visceral distrust of Evangelical Christians” publications, suggest that NJDC is in fact a loathsome hate organization that has no place in rational political discourse.

This is the story of Chinese Admiral Zheng He (or his Chinese title of Cheng Ho), his birth name being Ma Sanbao, and his Muslim name of Hajji Mahmud, who traveled the China Seas, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea, long before the time of the European explorers and colonizers.

Mark Steyn predicts that Europe is finished vis-à-vis its burgeoning immigrant — especially Muslim — population, but there have been signs that the continent hasn’t gone over the cliff… yet. Earlier this year, an opinion poll of Brits found that a, “Huge majority say civil liberty curbs a ‘price worth paying’ to fight terror.” Germany’s interior minister made some refreshingly honest points about requiring Muslims to leave the Stone Age if they are to find homes in Europe. “The Netherlands, which has cut immigration in half since 2001, is deporting 26,000 rejected asylum seekers and keeping new arrivals in detention camps.” Which leads me to the point of this article:
So vast has the number of deportees from Europe become, that two enterprising businessmen have hatched an extraordinary plan - a new airline exclusively for failed asylum seekers.

Just when you thought Iraqi “insurgents” couldn’t get any more savage… Michael Moore’s “Minutemen” have started using children in homicide bombings:
…Maj. Gen. Michael Barbero, deputy director for regional operations on the Joint Staff, told reporters that a vehicle was waved through a U.S. military checkpoint because two children were visible in the back seat.
“Children in the back seat lowered suspicion, (so) we let it move through, they parked the vehicle, the adults run out and detonate it with the children in the back,” Barbero said.
“The brutality and ruthless nature of this enemy hasn’t changed.” …

Here is the complete paragraph in question, so as to avoid the chance of taking the statement out of context. A Jewish Voice for Peace apparently considers it “appalling” that the Palestinian terrorists have to sacrifice three fanatics (plus innocent Palestinians) to murder one Israeli civilian woman or child, and wishes that the Palestinian nail bombs were more effective and that those nasty IDF soldiers wouldn’t shoot would-be murderers before they can, for example, shoot pregnant Jewish women in their bellies to kill their unborn children. It speaks for itself.
While the Sun is correct in calling out Soros’ exaggerated contention that ten Palestinians die to every one Israeli (the real figure averages out at about 3 to 1, which is still completely appalling), they attack the globally respected Israeli human rights group, BtSelem, because they have German, EU and Ford Foundation funding.

BBC reporter Alan Johnston was kidnapped by Palestinians a week ago in Gaza. Margaret Beckett, the UK’s foreign secretary, today groveled before parliament:
…Mrs Beckett said it was particularly sad when someone who had been a long-standing friend of the Palestinian people suffered in this way. …
A friend? Is she implying that Johnston writes stories favoring the Palestinian side? When will people learn? There are no “friends” among people who do not share civilized values. All the placating of terrorists is a waste of time, and downright dishonorable.

Israel is not one of the nations which abuse women. In fact, the Jewish state treats its women probably better than any nation on earth. But the UN has decided to single out only one country, Israel, in criticizing the worldwide status of women’s rights. Forget the fact that the worst conditions for women are in the Arab/Muslim world where, for example, “A woman is raped every two hours and gang-raped every eight hours in Pakistan…” Yes, your tax dollars hard at work at the UN… Here’s the story, if you can read it without vomiting:

Norway decided today to break ranks with civilized nations who were boycotting the Palestinian Authority (PA). The boycott has been in place because the terrorist group Hamas is part of the PA, whose:
…founding charter commits the group to the destruction of Israel, the replacement of the PA with an Islamist state on the West Bank and Gaza, and to raising “the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine.” Its leaders have called suicide attacks the “F-16″ of the Palestinian people. Hamas believes “peace talks will do no good,” Rantisi said in April 2004. “We do not believe we can live with the enemy.”

…with false “racial slur” accusation against John McCain
by Bill Levinson
The National Jewish Democratic Council, proud defender of the hate organization MoveOn.org and slinger of anti-Semitic “Jew as Christian hater” prppaganda, is now falsely accusing John McCain–a strong advocate of American national defense–of using a racial slur. Not content with publishing anti-Semitic propaganda to damage Jewish-Evangelical relations, NJDC is now knowingly and willfully slandering a war hero and one of the few political figures who is known for his honesty and integrity.

Remember the old jingle for Chiquita bananas? Cute, huh? Well, no. Instead of working with U.S. and/or Columbian authorities to fight terrorism, Chiquita Brands International Inc. was paying off terrorists — in old-style protection money:
U.S. banana producer Chiquita Brands International Inc. pleaded guilty Monday to doing business with a terrorist organization for paying protection money to Colombian paramilitaries between 2001 and 2004.
