Hamas Propaganda Discovered In Offices Of HLF Beneficiaries

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

By The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT)*

The terror support trial of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) continued this morning with direct examination of the Legal Advisor for the Counterterrorism Division of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), who testified under the pseudonym “Avi.” Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth J. Shapiro resumed her questioning by walking the jury through an extensive list of Zakat (Charity) Committees throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip that were controlled by HAMAS and received contributions from the global HAMAS charitable network - which included the Richardson, Texas-based HLF.

Chavez 4EVER

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

By Andrew L. Jaffee

El Jefe, Hugo Chavez wants to change Venezuela’s laws to allow him to own and control everything — all of his country’s wealth, human rights, ideas, news, etc. In other words, Chavez is about to become the next dictator in the Castro/Mugabe/Milosevic tradition: absolute power forever. Still want that Che Guevara t-shirt? From the AFP:

Change of Heart on Immigration?

The White House thinks it’s calling America’s bluff

By Mark Krikorian*

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

This Mencken sentiment appears to be the guiding idea behind the administration’s announcement Friday of stepped-up immigration enforcement. After its relentless six-year campaign for amnesty crashed and burned in June at the hands of the common people, the White House has come up with a new plan: to start enforcing some of the laws they should have been enforcing all along, and so thoroughly scare the public with the consequences that there will be a popular groundswell for amnesty that will finally vindicate the administration position. You can almost hear the president thinking, “be careful what you wish for.”

Scotland: Terrorism Works, Doctors Banned from Eating

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

By Andrew L. Jaffee

DOCTORS and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues.

Health chiefs believe the sight of food will upset Muslim workers when they are celebrating the religious festival Ramadan.

The lunch trolley is also to be wheeled out of bounds as the 30-day fast begins next month. …

- Daily Express

Terrorism works. The culture of political correctness in Scotland has kowtowed to the Islamist culture of intimidation, “in the wake of the failed terror attacks on Glasgow and the death of suspect Kafeel Ahmed.”

John Mearsheimer (”Israel Lobby”) at Yearly Kos 2007

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

by Bill Levinson

Talk show host Bill O’Reilly was recently criticized for accusing the Daily Kos of welcoming anti-Semitic and other hate speech on its site. Hillary Clinton stepped in to defend Kos, and MoveOn.org is trying to get Fox News’ advertisers to pull their advertising. It seems that the Kos convention, which Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama attended, had an interesting guest: John Mearsheimer, one of the authors of “The Israel Lobby.” In this YouTube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFtGJRuz18g

filmed at the Daily Kos, Mearsheimer claims that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn’t really say that he plans to wipe Israel off the map, and that a nuclear-armed Iran is not a threat to the U.S. or Israel.

We learned about this Mearsheimer video through an unrelated Google search that led us to the web site of David Duke, the Ku Klux Klansman. Duke apparently thinks very highly of this video and Mr. Mearsheimer, and it seems that Kos shares this position.

Ottawa needs a comprehensive strategy for Canada-India relations

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

By Canadian Coalition for Democracies

Ottawa, Canada - August 15, 2007 - India celebrates 60 years of independence. This occasion offers Canada an opportunity to reevaluate its relationship with one of history’s oldest continuing civilizations, a nation that is the world’s largest pluralistic democracy, and a major Asian military and economic power.

Like Canada, India inherited its parliamentary democracy, common law, civic administration and knowledge of English from its period as a British dependency. Despite having much in common with India, Canada has been slow to expand relations with the country, focusing more on its relations with China. This emphasis is reflected in the disproportionate extent of Canadian Government programs, civic engagement, trade, bilateral agreements and ministerial visits aimed at China, and a blinkered approach toward India.

Stop the NYC Madrassa

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

by Daniel Pipes*

When Dhabah “Debbie” Almontaser resigned as principal of the Khalil Gibran International Academy on August 10, her action culminated a remarkable grassroots campaign in which concerned citizens successfully criticized the New York City establishment. But the fight goes on. The next step is to get the academy itself canceled.

Window Dressing

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

By Barry Rubin

Is there a window of opportunity for Israel-Palestinian peace right now? Let me put it this way: in diplomatic terms, looking through the window is worthwhile but, in analytical terms, I don’t think anyone is going to be able to climb through it.

The problem of the current situation poses two typical issues which often bedevil–but could be used to clarify–Middle East issues. The first is the logical versus the real; the second is the diplomatic versus the analytical.

Let us begin by what to outsiders seems a logical evaluation of the current situation. It goes something like this: Fatah and the Palestinian Authority (PA) it controls in the West Bank are in serious shape. Hamas has seized the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian infrastructure has been devastated. There seems to be no progress toward peace or an independent state.

Anti-CAIR Founder: My Turn on Civil Rights

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

By Andrew Whitehead

On January 6, 2004, I was threatened with a lawsuit for defamation by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an Islamic terrorist supporting front group which has received funding from Islamic terrorists. The reason I was sued was because I dared to tell the truth about CAIR, its “leadership” and members.

When I received the letter, I shut down our work for a few days while I examined my options. After a period of reflection, I made the decision to resume normal operations and I also posted the letter from CAIR’s attorney on the Anti-CAIR web site:

http://www.anti-cair-net.org/cairlawyerletter.html

The reason I refused to surrender to CAIR’s blatant attempt at intimidation was simple: I believe that all the information we provide on CAIR is the truth, and that the truth must be defended, in order to maintain a free society.

Holocaust hero: opposing evil is a duty, not an option

Sunday, August 12th, 2007

By Andrew L. Jaffee

Is Islamo-fascism the greatest threat to civilization today? Or does the threat really lay in those people in Western nations who are afraid to oppose the Islamo-fascists, who are too lazy or disinterested, and/or are befuddled by political correctness? Today, Aish.com published a lesson from the times of the Holocaust for those idiots who would sit by as our freedoms are threatened by Islamic zealots. The story is about a righteous gentile who saved Jewish children — a person who knows that opposing evil is a duty, not an option:

CAIR: Youngest Member of Hamas Family Tree

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

By The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT)*

As the trial for the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) continues, the mountain of evidence presented by prosecutors demonstrates, in detail, the existence of a grand Muslim Brotherhood network in the United States dating back to the 1960s. A segment of this network, the self-designated “Palestine Committee,” sought to financially, politically, and morally support the efforts of HAMAS to destroy the “Zionist enemy.”

One exhibit – the Palestine Committee’s 1991 bylaws - reveals a web of key organizations tied to the Committee that were tasked with promoting HAMAS’ agenda, each in a particular field. Six groups were listed, the most prominent being HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), and the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR).

Appearance is Everything

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

By Jonathan Spyer

US Secretary of State Condolleeza Rice has now completed her four day trip to the Middle East. Dr. Rice was evidently well-pleased at what she found, describing herself as “impressed by the seriousness of (Olmert and Abbas) to really advance this two state solution.” A number of commentators have remarked on the similarity between the current moment and the days of the Oslo peace process. A notable difference, however, is that during Oslo one had the sense that the protagonists, or at least some of them, really believed they were on the way to making peace in the Middle East. This time around, the whole thing has a strained, slightly unreal sense to it. What lies behind this?

Countries Threatened with Extinction

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

by Daniel Pipes*

Quiz time: Which Middle Eastern country disappeared from the map not long ago for more than six months?

Answer: Kuwait, which disappeared from August 1990 to February 1991, becoming Iraq’s 19th province. This brutal conquest by Saddam Hussein culminated intermittent Iraqi claims going back to the 1930s. Restoring Kuwait’s sovereignty required a huge American-led expeditionary force of more than half a million soldiers.

Is There No Other Policy Except For A Failed One?

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

by Dr. Steve Carol

The recent announcement of a planned U.S. $20 billion sale to Saudi Arabia and other members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates - and the new, U.S. three-line deployment strategy, is being discussed and questioned globally.

However, once again we are witnessing the repackaging of old wine in new bottles, except that this time the wine is vinegar. Major components of the proposed sale and strategy have been tried before by the U.S. and failed.

In 1970, as part of the “Nixon Doctrine”, the United States introduced the concept of relying on “regional influentials” to safeguard American interests in the wide area of the Middle East. Assigned to this role was Iran, under the Shah, whose task was to protect the Persian Gulf region. Second was Israel that was to watch over the Eastern Mediterranean area and Suez Canal. The third was Ethiopia, under Emperor Haile Selassie, that was assigned the task of safeguarding the southern approaches to the Red Sea. Arms aid was given to all three nations.

Request for Assistance: Lawsuit against Internation Solidarity Movement (ISM)

Monday, August 6th, 2007

From Anti-CAIR, by Andrew Nitzberg

My name is Andrew Nitzberg and I am a trial attorney practicing largely in the state of New York. I am the lawyer responsible for the trial victory of Lee Kaplan against Mohammed Salahi earlier this year. (The action was for private speech by Salahi that cost Lee Kaplan several jobs. The ‘free speech’ defense fell flat because this was for private, not public, speech. The court records and decision are posted online by the California court administration.)

I am filing for an injunction against George Mason University for their upcoming conference of the ‘International Solidarity movement’, the US wing of Hamas.

I need assistance in the form of evidence. Of course there is lots of evidence to show that the ISM is a violent, Jew-hating group which directly assists terrorists in coming to their targets and similar activities. But i need evidence admissible in a court of law.
